Homeroom was a bore, Vivian sat quiet, sneaking glances when she thought I wouldn't notice. English Literature was quite, me not bothering Isaac with questions and him not giving me ominous answers. Economics was tension filled, with Michael ignoring my very presence and I doing the same, both of us remaining quiet even when the teacher questioned us.

When I walk into the cafeteria, it seemed like the noise suddenly dulled down. The occasional whisper would receive my stare. I knew none of them knew what was actually going on within the royals. But they knew I caused chaos, with the obvious way they rest of the group avoided me, especially after the dare I gave Michael and the Instagram story that I sort of forgot. That and how each of them walked away from me in the hallway.

News spreads fast in Thornton Prep.

I made my way to the table, where all four of them sat, resided and ruled for so long. Seeing me coming Rose got up and walked over. She gave me a disgusted stare before walking past me, careful to push me with her frail shoulder. Vivian quickly gets up and follows her best friend.

I spare them no glance as I sit down in my usual seat. Isaac looks between Michael and me before sighing and saying, "Sort this shit out, the two of you."

Then there was two.

"So you want to play dirty huh?" he speaks first, slight trace of humour lacing his voice but I wasn't stupid to think he wasn't angry.

"How is this any different to what you did? Sleeping with me to get revenge? I don't even know how that works!" I let out a laughing scoff, before I sober to stare at him dead in eyes. "But I guess I do at the same time.

"And you were doing so good too." I commended him, but my tone changes completely as I continue. "But I know this was all a test. I haven't forgotten how much you care about your friends. You may have risked Isaac by trying to embarrass me at that party, but I know better than to think that you don't have a bone in your body that cares."

Though his face doesn't betray him, his eyes do. The green in it dulls and darkens significantly. I never thought eyes could change shades like that, or colour. But his were close to opaque black. That's the moment I started believing eyes could in fact do many things, like give away your exact emotions.

I wondered then if my black eyes betrayed the slight fear I felt staring at the wrath filled boy. Then again, maybe I wasn't scared at all. Because the next word to leave my mouth definitely didn't get filtered through my calculating mind.

"I wonder," I leaned back into my chair, crossing my arms against my chest almost protectively, "if Isaac knows you gabled his future for your pride."

Kidding of course, that was a calculated move. I didn't equate it to a result other than anger though. So I must have been utterly mental. Why do I need provoke a teenage boy? My real enemy was sitting in her office planning her wedding to happen in less than a month.
