"We cling to our fairy tales until the price for believing in them becomes to high."

•lucas

I don't normally wake up late during the weekends, but last night I couldn't get a certain blondie out of my head. Maya's totally gorgeous and insanely sarcastic, but that's enough to drive anyone crazy.

While I was making a cup of coffee for myself, Farkle came into the room with a bag packed.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"Riley wants to have a beach day together," Farkle says.

"I'm sure that will be fun," I replied.

"We should be back around five or six. Call me if you need anything."

"Alright I will."

When I had first moved out here I didn't believe Farkle when he said he was best friends with the famous Maya Hart, but now knowing that's the truth makes me even more impressed.

The timer goes off on the coffee maker and I grab my cup, filling it up with the hot coffee. I reach over for the sugar bowl and stick my spoon in, but when I bring it back up there is no sugar, same with the sugar bowl.

I pulled out my phone and texted Farkle.

Lucas: we don't have any sugar

Farkle: and your telling me this because

Lucas: I need sugar in my coffee

Farkle : it's on the list of things we need to buy

Lucas: what am I supposed to do with my unsweetened coffee

Farkle: you complain to much :p

Lucas: not helping

Farkle: go buy coffee at a shop

Lucas: yeah like I'm willing to pay six bucks for a cup of coffee

Farkle: go over to Riley and Maya's apartment and take some of their sugar

Lucas: okay

I only said yes, because it would give me the perfect chance to see Maya.

Farkle still had their extra key to get into their apartment so I grabbed it and walked over.

"Hello. Maya are you here?" I asked.

I heard the shower running, which explains why nobody responded so I walked and began searching around for their sugar. About two minutes into my search I heard a loud crash come from the bathroom.

"Maya are you okay?" I asked.

No response came from the other side of the door.

"Maya! Please say something so I know your okay!"

When I didn't get a response the second time I opened the door. Her bathroom was steamy from the shower running, but I can see her just laying on the bottom of the shower floor helpless.

"Maya," I tried to shake her.

When I had arrived at the hospital, I rode with Maya in the ambulance, they kept on trying to give me paper work to fill out. I knew the answer to one question, her name, but they needed more information that I didn't have. Farkle didn't pick up his phone when I tried calling so I was stuck with no answers to their questions.

Around two a doctor came out and asked for me to follow him back into Maya's room. This time when I saw her she was sleeping and not passed out.

"Is she gonna be okay?" I asked.

"Don't worry she's going to fine. She just banged her head a little when she passed out," the doctor pointed toward the small red spot on Maya's face.

I nodded, "Do you know why she passed out?"

The doctor shrugged, "It could have been the combination of the heat from the shower and her low blood sugar."

"Could have?"

"Well it might have been from the stress she's under or from an anxiety attack. The good news is you can bring her home a little later."

"Okay."

The doctor left the room and I sat down in the chair next to her bed, waiting for her to wake up.

Awwww Lucas to the rescue. The reason why Maya fainted will come up a few more times in the story.
