"He's standing right in front of you, but you can't even see how in love with you he actually is."

The blinds in my room suddenly begin to let some light shine through the room and the blankets on my bed get ripped off my body.
"Time to get up!" Riley screamed, "We are leaving for the beach in twenty minutes."
"I don't wanna go," I mumbled.
"Too bad," Riley said.
I searched for the covers again and pulled them back into my body. Going to the beach was definitely the last place I wanted to go today. The beach would be full of even more people who might stand me up.
"I know your bummed about Garrett, but you don't need him anyway. He's probably just some stupid boy who would break your heart."
"Seems like every guy wants to break my heart recently."
"The beach will be full of tons of hot guys, maybe you'll find your Prince Charming there."
"Can't my Prince Charming walk through the door right now."
"Maybe he'll walk through in twenty minutes so get dressed."

The beach was definitely not as packed as I though it would be. Even though I've lived out in Los Angeles, for while now I'd only ever been to the beach a hand full of times.
"I'm gonna go feel the water," Lucas pointed down towards the shore.
"I'll join you," Riley said.
Farkle slipped his arm around Riley, "As will I."
"What about you?" Lucas asked me.
"I'm fine. I'll get probably work on my tan," I responded.
Lucas nodded and joined everyone back down at the water. I put down my towel and search through my bag for my sunblock. Once I found it I began to put it on my legs and arms, I was going to have Riley come put it on my shoulders when she came back.
"Hey if you need me to put some sunblock on your back and shoulders I'd be happy to do it," some random guy said.
I looked over and was face to face with some guy with hair almost as long as mine.
But before I could say anything Lucas walked back over to me.
"Hey honey you should feel the waves they're amazing," and then he wrapped his arm around me, "Your shoulders are burning up I think you should put some sunscreen on them."
Lucas took the bottle from me and rubbed in the sunblock. His hands felt cold against my skin, probably from being in the ocean, but then they had this warm feeling to them.
"Oh Hey who's this Maya," Lucas asked referring to the random guy, "Hi I'm her boyfriend."
And just like that the guy went away.
"Thank you so much," I told him, "That guy was such a creep."
"No problem, honey," Lucas laughed.
"Ugh I hate it when people call their boyfriend or girlfriend honey."
"But not when I say it."
"Especially when you say it."

Uhhhh would you look at that Lucas to the rescue again.
I'll be updating a bunch today because school got cancelled at 7:50 ish and we already had a two hour delay.
