"I'm back," I yelled into the apartment.

"I never left," Maya sang.

I haven't heard Maya sing that many times before. Sure I had been to her show and heard her sing then, but besides that I haven't heard her sing.

"I like your voice," I smiled.

Maya grinned, getting up from the couch making her way over to me.

"Thanks. I've been told that I can sing before," Maya sarcastically said.

"Wow that's the first time I've ever heard you be sarcastic before," I responded.

Maya shoved me to the side.

"A, how dare you. B, now you can't have any food," I said.

I took the bag of Chinese and held it above my head.

"Do you really want me to try to jump up and grab the Chinese food? There is a major risk that I could slip and fall on my head. We wouldn't my head to get ever more damage, would we?"

"Sometimes I really dislike your sass."

"Well sometimes I really dislike you so I guess we're even."

Maya and I ate the Chinese food I bought and watched old reruns of Rugrats together. I sat on the edge of the couch with Maya's head laying on a pillow resting in my lap.

I was playing with piece or Maya's hair when I got a text from Riley making sure that Maya and I were fine.

"Who said you could stop?" Maya said, referring to the fact I was no longer playing with her hair.

"I thought girls didn't like it when people played with their hair? And Riley sent me a text."

"Maybe some girls don't like it, but I do. Is she checking up on us again?"

"Yes. Oh that reminds me, you need to take your pill," I said.

I got up causing Maya's head to plop onto the couch.

"Little warning next time," Maya shouted.

I grabbed Maya's pill for her and a bottle of water.

"You could say thank you."

"I could."

I rolled my eyes and then handing her the water along with the medicine.

"Thank you," Maya said.

"Your welcome," I asked, "Do you wanna go out somewhere tomorrow?"

"After you finish classes?"

"Yeah. Where do you want to go?"

"It's up to you."
