"Why do I feel like love is pain?"

I looked to my side and saw Tao shaking his head in amusement. Where did that come from? Wait! When did he arrive here?

"Hey little man" I ruffled his hair and he gave me a tiny smile before looking down to his hands "When did you arrive and where are others?" I asked him because I was still waiting for Minseok to come back from practice.

"They must be arriving soon" he mumbled and then glanced in another direction, I followed his line of sight and saw him staring at Kai. I was so lost in myself that I didn't see both of them entering? "Noona can I ask you something?"

"Yes" I said, unsure of where our conversation was heading to.

"When you love someone... and that person loves someone else... What do you do?" he lifted his eyes to stare at me.

My brows creased visibly and I stared at him, curiously "Something happened?"

"When... Kris.. Kris hyung" he lowered his head and I swallowed hard, looking away "When he confessed...what was your reaction?" he asked, fumbling with his hands.

"That I love someone else" I replied bluntly "It must have hurt him in the beginning but molding the truth to give someone false hope is not my style" I said, honestly.

"But... what if Minseok weren't good to you" he said, awkwardly and I frowned "I mean what if it's only you with feelings and not Minseok hyung. Would you have gone to Kris because he loves you, not Minseok hyung?"

His question was confusing but I understood him, nonetheless. It was a strange question coming from Tao but I was obliged to answer, so I did.

"It's a normal thing Tao" I sighed "All the stories aren't about happy endings and those which are... let's just say people are lucky sometimes" I chuckled, bitterly "It's always the word 'but' and you can't expect someone to love you just because they're not getting loved by their loved one"

"But isn't it stupid? To love the guy who doesn't love you back?" he asked, running a hand through his hair and I patted his shoulder.

"Love itself is stupid Tao" I told him because it was the truth. Stupid love. Stupid people. Stupid sacrifices. Stupid world. Stupid heartbreaks.

"We're back," Chen announced loudly from the front door and I chuckled. He would always be a loud ass guy. I scanned the boys and greeted them with a smile but my smile fell when I saw Minseok and so did his.

He wasn't smiling anymore and I nodded at everyone before following him upstairs. With each step I took towards him, the harsh words I'd been saying for the last few weeks rang in my ears.

"I'm sick of waiting. You need to make time for me"

"I never should have involved myself with you"

"You're not worthy of my love. I hate you"

"I hate to see your face. Just go away"

Even Minseok was confused why I was fighting with him over small things. Where did his sweet, understanding, warm girlfriend go?

"If you're here to pick up the fight again. Please leave" I looked up and saw him sitting on the bed "I'm tired" he breathed out.

I looked away and blinked my eyes before taking a deep breath "I can't do this anymore" I said and closed the door behind me.

"Sana" he groaned, "I'm tired. Can we do this some other time? I don't know what's going on with you but I seriously am feeling the need to stay away from you" he said, standing up.
