"Come home."
I chuckled, hearing Charles' words and placed another book in the box which I was packing for my farewell from this publishing company. I was done being in China and it was time for me to go back to South Korea. This company already had another branch in South Korea and I was moving there.
"You're laughing? We're missing you like crazy" Charles complained "We only saw you 5 times in years when we visited you in China. It's time to come back"
"I wanted to surprise you guys but..." I shook my head and gestured to the helper to wrap the box with tape.
"What do you mean?" I could imagine him frowning and smiled.
"I'm coming back home" I said excitedly "Don't tell mom dad yet" I warned him and he squealed like a kid. Maybe he really did miss me.
"Really?" he asked and I nodded, even though I couldn't see him.
"Yes. Now hang up and let me wrap this up. I'm coming back by tomorrow's flight" I told him and glanced at my helper who had wrapped up everything for me.
I hung up on Charles and bowed to the helper "Xie Xie" I smiled.
"No problem ma'am." he smiled in return before taking his leave from the office. I looked around my office and breathed out shakily. It was the place where I've worked and had a lot of experience.
I walked out and greeted my office co-workers. I agree that I was not so attached with anyone here as I totally focused on my work but I had my own reasons. I did not want to get attached because like I said... attachments hurt us. So I just kept my distance with everyone, occasionally going out with them and sharing drinks, nothing more nothing less.
Few people helped me to carry the boxes to the car while I held the photo frame of mine and Minseok in my hands gently. It had always been in my drawer because he was my inspiration and his presence has always been there in my life.
"Leaving already?"
I looked up, and saw Fei standing few feet away. "Your well wisher bugged me to check up on you, but it seems like I will finally have a good news for him. You're leaving China."
"Who are you? What well wisher?" I asked, but she just shrugged.
"You'll know once you reach Korea. By the way, your secret is safe with me. Don't worry."
"I know you won't open your mouth somewhere else, because you wanted to, you would have by now." I titled my head, and she rolled her eyes, and walked away.
Shaking my head, I called Luhan to ask him to come over for a quick meeting as I had already met Tao yesterday night and Kris was coming tonight to see me off. Yes those three weren't on talking terms yet even after leaving SM.
It broke my heart to see the ot12 team of Exo like this. Those 9 people had their own reasons and these 3 were so much more in depth of betrayal and trust issues. I just hope everything will work out for them with time.
"I'm going to miss you" Luhan told me as soon as I took my seat on our registered table. I smiled and nodded at him.
"I'll too but we'll meet soon" I assured him "How are you doing?"
"I'm doing well" he replied and pushed a coffee cup in my direction "Have it"
"Coffee" I smiled to myself as I remembered about the certain someone who loved coffee more than anything else.
"How is Eun Sang?" Luhan asked and I looked up at him.
"She's okay now and doing well" I told him "Do you talk to... Kris or Tao?" I asked, awkwardly but he just shook his head in response.
