" Food poisoning " I said as I lie down on the bed with an IV drip attached to my hand.

" I hate to say I told you so " Zenix walks in with my jacket over his arm.

I groan.

" Shut up " I said.

" Aww " he sits down on the chair.

" You want me to call anyone? " He asked.

" No, I don't want to bother anyone " I said.

" If you say so " he said.

I lie side way and look up at him with a smile, he tilted his head looking down at me.

" We'll be here for 45 minutes " I whispers.

" I know " he whispers back, I snicker and my phone rings, I groan.

" Put it on mute " I said, he picks up my phone on the side table and show me the screen.

Chase.

" That's the first, answer it " I said in a tired voice.

He answers it and place the phone against my ear.

" Is it good news or bad news? " I asked.

" I don't know how beating cancer could be bad news " he said, I snicker.

" Congratulations, I knew you would get through it " I said.

" You sound sick " he said, I sighed.

" I got food poisoning, I'm in the hospital " I said.

" Did you eat that stupid Chinese noodles again? " He asked.

Zenix chuckles, I roll my eyes away.

" But it taste too good to not eat it " I said.

" Y/n, you know you will always get a bad stomach ache from that " he said

" Are you here to tell me you beat cancer or scold me like the daddy you are? "

I chuckled.

" Just so you know, we're going to have a family reunion next week, do you think you'll make it? " He asked.

" Everyone is going to be there? " I asked.

" Everyone, I'll try to sober dad up for you " he said.

" I didn't say you wouldn't be there " he said, I whine.

" It'll be at Lloyd's place, you know the address "

" I have things to do, tell me when your out of the hospital " he said.

" Bye " I said and Zenix ends the call for me.

" What happened there? " He asked as he place the phone on the table.

" There's going to be a family reunion next week, wanna join? " I asked.

" But it's your family " he said, I sighed.

" Maybe you can be with me?, You know as the boyfriend " I said, he snickers.
