Chapter 31: Don't let go

 Jack J’s POV

“Are there any availabilities at all today?” I asked the receptionist at the airport.

“No, there isn’t. I’m sorry for the inconvenience” she replied. “Excuse me” she said, as the phone rang.

I sunk my head into my arms on the desk.

“Good news. There has just been a cancellation so there are 4 open seats. How many of you are there?” she asked, putting the phone down.

“3” I replied, eagerly as I pointed to myself, Jess and Gilinsky.

“No problem. The flight leaves in half an hour and should be boarding very soon.”

After exchanging tickets and money, we made our way to the gate and were the first ones to board.

We found our seats with Jess in the middle of me and Jack.

She rested her head on Gilinsky’s shoulder.

“Guys, do you miss Anna and Inbar?” she asked.

I looked at Jack and thought to myself. I hadn’t spoken to her since the day we got home. So much had happened, it was something that was pushed to the back of my mind.

“Yeah, but right now, you and the others mean a lot more” Gilinsky replied. He kissed her forehead before pushing himself back in his chair, closing his eyes and resting his head on top of Jess’.

I took Jess’ hand and gave her an encouraging smile.

So far, all the text’s we received off Nash were the same. That Cameron was steady but still hadn’t gained consciousness.

Jess’ POV

We were approaching the hospital. I could see the building getting closer and closer.

I stared at the windows dotted around the building knowing that Cameron was in one of them…my boyfriend.

“Here you go” the driver said as we pulled up at the entrance.

Jack paid and I scrambled out, with Gilinsky following behind, texting Nash that we were here.

I ran to the reception desk.

“Excuse me, do you know what room Cameron Dallas is in?” I said, my breathing now getting faster.

She nodded and typed and clicked on her computer. “Room 46”

“Thanks”

I ran down the hall and followed all the signs.
