Cameron’s POV
A day later and I was finally discharged after spending a week and 3 days stuck in there.
Jess helped me pack my bags whilst Nash waited down in the parking lot.
I watched in amusement as she spoke quietly to herself as she organised the bag of things, tucking her hair behind her ears and taking things out and then putting them back in.
She looked up at me. “What?” she said smiling as I laughed.
“Just the way you organise things” I said laughing.
“Oh really? Well if you don’t like it then I guess I’ll just leave” she said jokingly, slowly making her way to the door.
I caught her hand and pulled her close. “Don’t leave” I said quietly to her, our foreheads touching.
“I never plan to” she replied, her eyes flicking from my mouth to my eyes.
I looked into her eyes, admiring her big pupils.
Like automatically, our heads got closer, inches by inches until our lips touched.
Sometimes you don’t even realise you have made a connection until you feel the same fireworks flying through your body. That’s when you know its love.
After however many minutes…we continued packing, well Jess did. I still had a lot of wounds that were still healing and extremely painful. A blessing and a curse I guess?
“Alright. I think that’s it” She said, putting her hands on her hips.
She picked up the bag, threw it on her shoulder and walked over to me, holding out her hand.
I took hers in mine, bringing her closer to me. I kissed her forehead and threw my arm over her shoulders and walked out. I didn’t even look back.
Hospitals, to me, represented hurting and pain, and I want to live my life free of it.

“It’s so good to be home!” I said, taking a deep breath as I walked through the door to our apartment.
I looked around the room, so thankful to be home, totally oblivious to the stacks of boxes surrounding corners of the room.
“Is someone moving out dude?” I asked Nash jokingly.
He smiled. “Nope, more like someone’s moving in”
It took me a while to function what he said, until I flicked my eyes over to Jess…and realised…she’s moving in, just like we had planned.
She smiled, knowing what I was thinking.
I hurried towards her and picked her up, not caring if my wounds hurt.
“I love you so much” I whispered in her ear.
“I love you too Cameron” she replied, making me smile.
“But seriously though, how much stuff did you bring?” I asked jokingly, putting her down.
“That’s actually a really good question. I don’t remember packing this many boxes!” she said, scratching the back of her neck.
“I think I can answer that” I heard a familiar voice say from behind Nash.
Drew stepped around him and ran to Jess, embracing her in a hug, whilst Nash and Cameron spectated from behind with smiles.
“I’ve missed you so much! I’m so sorry I didn’t call” Jess said, still hugging her.
“It’s okay, it’s okay! I understand everything that happened” Drew said pulling away, smiling.
“This is so crazy and exciting at the same time” Jess said laughing. I was so freaking happy I couldn’t express it anymore.
“I say let’s get settled in hm?” Drew said, walking over to her stack of boxes.
