Nash’s POV

Days went by and yet Cameron was still in the same ‘stable’ condition he was in when he arrived.

I was actually starting to the think the doctors were getting so sick of us asking that they were telling us the same old excuse.

“I’m sick of this waiting man” I said to Gilinsky, getting up from my seat and randomly walking around our part of the waiting room.

“I know dude” he sighed.

“You know what, I’m going in there. ‘He’s in a stable condition’ is not cutting it anymore” I said, using my fingers to gesture quotation marks.

I walked out, and down the hall to Cameron’s room. I peered in and saw Cameron sitting like he was chilling in bed.

“Woah dude, you’re looking awesome!” I said, hurrying in and giving him a hug.

“Haha, I haven’t seen you for days man, where’ve you been?”

“Here! And taking it in turns with everyone else to get food and take a shower and all that you know” I said, flicking through the magazines left for him.

“How’s Jess?” he asked, now staring into my eyes.

He knew that she was worried sick since the incident a few days ago.

“She’s alright. She’s been quiet, and sort of out of it a little. She had a nightmare yesterday which didn’t help”

His eyes directed to his restless hands.

“She was getting better…they were starting to go away” he said quietly. “What was it about?”

I paused to think if I should tell him. It’s his girlfriend afterall, he deserves to know.

“It was uh...it was about a funeral…your funeral” I said quietly. I didn’t want to think about it too much because Cameron was still here in hospital. “It shook her up a bit”

“Is she here?” he asked.

“She’s out getting food with Hayes. I’ll let her know you’re awake when she gets back” I said, pulling the arm chair towards Cam’s bed.

“Do you have my phone?” he asked me. I’ve had it for over a week.

“Yeah” I said, pulling it out from my back pocket. “The fans even started trending a hashtag worldwide for days.”

Hayes POV

I went out with Jess to Chipotle to get food for us and everyone else. I wanted to get her mind off things a little bit more. I just felt that Jess was hurting in some sort of way at any opportunity life gave her. On top of that, the doctors and nurses kept informing us the same thing about Cameron that really wasn’t telling us much.
