(A/N: GUYS PLEASE RE-READ THIS CHAPTER BECAUSE I'VE DONE SOME RE-ADJUSTMENTS TO THE STORY TO FIT THE NEXT CHAPTERS AND I THINK YOU WOULD ALL PREFER WHAT I HAVE IN MIND ANYWAY. THANK YOU(: )

Cameron’s POV

Minutes of waiting turned into hours, into days, into now almost a week.

I started eating less and continued to lock myself in my room, refusing to go out with the guys, do a photoshoot or even go on twitter. I got Nash to tweet for me because I couldn’t bear to look at what I might see.

I left Jess texts, voice messages and missed calls but they didn’t give me any more hope. I had no idea how she was doing.

A knock sounded on my door.

“Cam? Come on dude, let me in” Nash said, the other side.

I felt bad for shutting him off like this but I was hurting so much right now. Maybe I shouldn’t be doing this to him. I need my best friend in my life.

I got up and unlocked the door and slumped back to my bed.

He entered with a subway bag in his hand.

“How you doing cam?” he asked.

“The same I guess” I sighed.

“Well to cheer you up, I got your fav subway” he said with his most ratchet girl voice.

I smiled and gave a small laugh and took it from his hand.

“Thanks man. I really am thankful for all this. I keep shutting you out when I shouldn’t. I’ve been hurting so much I forgotten that I need my best friend to help me through this.” I said, fighting back the urge to cry again.

“Dude, whether you shut me out or let me in, I’ll always be there for you to fall back on. It’s natural for you to feel this way, but the best thing for you right now is time.”

“Time?” I repeated.

“Yeah, because it takes time for things to get better and in time, things will be better than them seem right now.” He said with a smile.

“You know, you’d be a good guidance councillor” I said with a slight laugh.

“Thank you very much” he said flicking his hair.

We ate our subway and played video games for hours.

“Oh man” I said, after our last game.

“What?”

“I forgot to pick my new phone up from Verizon the other day” I said, getting up.

“Do you want me to drive you?” Nash asked.

“Nah I’ll go, I need to get out I guess”

I got up and walked down stairs to get my shoes and car keys.

But something caught my eye.

I looked around the room at the photos of me and Jess. The more I looked at it, the more I could see Jess fading away.

I shook my head and walked out, trying to fight back the tears.
