Chapter 38: Phone call

Jess’ POV

I was comfy with Cameron on the couch when the phone rang.

I looked at Cam with puppy eyes, basically asking him to go get the phone, instead he looked at me and raised his eye brows with a smirk showing that he was not going to get up.

Urgh why are guys so lazy

“Hello?” I said down the phone, yawning at the same time.

“Hello, is this Jessica Johnson?” a manly voice said from the other end.

“Uh yes this is” I said, standing up promptly.

“Hi this is David from Storm Model Management. Upon receiving your images, we are happy to announce that you have got a place in our management. Congratulations”

“But I-I didn’t send in any photos” I said frowning as confusion and shock ran through my body.

“Indeed, I’m aware that your boyfriend Cameron sent them in” he replied.

My jaw dropped as I looked over at Cam, a smile glued to his face. He looked down straight away, blushing but his smile still bright as ever. 

“I…I don’t know what to say! Thank you so much!” I said ecstatically.

“It’s no problem at all. Finally, are you available tomorrow?”

I furrowed my brows in thought.

“Unfortunately not, I have the Expelled movie premiere tomorrow” I said, smiling as Cameron jumped around the room with excitement, just about dodging Nash and Drew as they came in with bags of food.

“No problem at all, how about day after tomorrow?” David asked.

“Sounds great” I said with a smile.

Why am I smiling, he can’t even see me?

“Fantastic, I’ll have all details sent to you tomorrow”

“Thank you very much, bye!” I said enthusiastically.

I slouched back on the wall, bring my hand to my head as I tried to process everything that had just happened; still smiling.

Cameron faced me on the opposite side of the room, his arms widened signalling a hug.

I ran over to him and jumped into his arms, burying my head in the crook of his neck, taking a moment to admire his scent.

“Thank you so much, for everything…I just…thank you” I spoke quietly, gripping him tighter.

“Anything for you beautiful” he said, he kissed me before putting me down.

I ran over to Drew, hugging and fangirling over what had just happened.

With the excitement of this and the premiere tomorrow, it was hard not to.

I blew Cameron a kiss before me and Drew rushed upstairs to the computer to find dresses.

Cameron’s POV

I watched as Jess and Drew run upstairs, probably discussing outfits for the premiere tomorrow.

I sat back on the couch, feeling proud.

“Someone give me an award for best boyfriend right here” I said raising my hands.

Nash simply laughed and nodded his head.

“I’m gunna have to give you that one” he nodded.

I smiled, catching popcorn in my mouth.

“I have to say though it’s brave of you” he said, his eyes set on his phone.

I frowned with confusion. “What do you mean?”

“Dude, do you know how many male models are part of Storm Management?! Even Justin Bieber got a contract with them” he said, reaching for a handful of popcorn.

I stared at the wall in thought.

I didn’t think of it like that…

But she wouldn’t leave me right?

Justin Bieber wouldn’t take her away from me? He has a girlfriend right…right?!

Nash looked at me as if reading my thoughts.

“Cam don’t stress! Jess is one of the most loyal people on the planet! You two are crazy for each other!” he said with a reassuring smile.

“Thanks man” I replied with a fist bump feeling better after his speech, but the thought still lingered in my head.

“Taco time!!” Nash yelled excitedly, taking the bags of food out to the kitchen.

I shook my head and laughed, following him out.
