i'd like to try writing poetry again, but my motivation to do anything is just,,, shit.
but what's holding me back the most is not knowing what i'd like my writing style to be? i'd like it to reflect what i personally like, but also what i do as well. i pay attention to small details and like it when things aren't explicitly said.
idk.
connections. metaphors. other meanings. implications. stories.
i don't just want random descriptions. i want to tell a story, no matter how short.
i'm not really fond of poems that just slap a bunch of similes or metaphors or symbolism without actually making a statement. something real.
i'm not sure how to articulate this so that it's understandable to you guys.
i'm okay with making a statement and explaining it in details.
i want to be able to put a bunch of emotion into a few lines. it's something i personally find challenging but interesting when i see other people do it. how they can make a few lines say a hundred words.
