❝ impulse ❞

one thing people don't know about adhd is for the hyperactive/impulsive type (or combined type like me) is how difficult impulse control is.

when i was young, you could see it in how often i cut people off while they were talking. i always got scolded at for interrupting. ik i still do it. it's a hard habit to break when it's become instinctive to cut someone off if i have something to say.

  i'm also bad with money rn. i'm actually glad my mom banned me from online shopping cuz i will get out of hand with spending my money.

  what's funny though is me knowing how i have the easiest time controlling what i say unless i'm caught up in my emotions. then everything just comes out.

  i am also very impatient and bad with general impulsivity when it comes to decisions.

  i wonder how much adhd meds help with the impulsive part. if i had clearer thoughts, would i not be so impulsive? or is impulsiveness separated from everything else?

  i hate my impulsiveness. when it's not a problem, i'm more cautious and think on things more.
