Grey clouds covered the brightly lit sunshine. Droplets of rain began to pour on the ground, mercilessly. The atmosphere in the café grew a little colder as a few customers dashed in for shelter. Tonight, the café would be occupied for a family party, so Angelo had been putting up a few decorations. He happily decorated the place even though it was too bright to his liking. He willingly did it for the six-year-old child. Greeting the customers, Angelo climbed down the steep ladder carefully and attended to their orders. Hearing the sound of the whirring machine from the kitchen, the elder believed that Ansel will be doing well on the cake since she picked up on things quick.

He felt his hands froze throughout his time typing out the orders into the machine. It wouldn't be snowing anytime soon, but the rain felt strange to him. They were different. Those large water droplets seemed to be hinting something rather impossible to him. Rain will never be a good omen to the angels, however, in this mortal world, Angelo learned that it could be a bliss for some. He never envied them, but one person's sadness would be another's happiness.

Rubbing both his palms together quickly, Angelo decided to lower the temperature of the air-conditioned by a degree. He then continued his journey in preparing the cup of vanilla latte in a sky blue mug. When Angelo turned around the place the order, he froze in his spot. His grip tightened on the cup, reminding himself not to drop it. Regaining his strength, he finally settled it down in the tray with the rest of the orders. Quickly, he rang the bell to alert his customers. The very hair at the back of his neck stood up as the blonde hair man approached the counter. Everything felt surreal to him until the man spoke up, dragging him back to reality.

"The hair salon by the corner of the street is really good," he stated, pushing his messy blonde locks backwards. "I never knew mortals have such capabilities. Well, my dear brother, you must have been enjoying your years here. Speaking of enjoyment, can I have a slice of chocolate cake and a cup of dark chocolate drink? I will be waiting by the seat by the sink and I am expecting you to join me."

Playing it coy, Angelo faked a smile on his lips. He knew the rain would be up to no good. Pressing the keys gently, he nodded, watching the male trudged over to the chosen space. Noticing that they were no more chocolate cake in the display, Angelo headed back to the kitchen. His eyes landed on Ansel, humming softly to a familiar tune while she decorated the cake with large strawberries and cookies. Just the sight of Ansel conducting her daily routine warmed his heart. Angelo headed over her, wrapped his arms around her waist tightly before clutching her busy palms. When Ansel did turn around and their eyes met, Angelo felt his heart calmed.

"Angelo," Ansel spoke, settling the large cookie down as she stared into his shaky eyes. "What's happening? Why are you freaking out all of a sudden? I barely see you like this, let alone hugging me out of a sudden as if I am going to disappear into the thin air," she joked playfully, lightening up his chest and added. "I would say you have seen a ghost, but since this building is new, I doubt there would be any upcoming paranormal activities here unless I murder someone."

Angelo's red lips cracked up into a peal of silent laughter. He untangled himself from Ansel and brushed her palms gently. Reaching out, he tucked a strand of her hair behind her ears and cocked his head to the side to look at the partially decorated cake. Taking a few seconds to study the patterns on the cake, he then studied Ansel's serious features.

"Nothing. Nothing happened. The rain made me crave for your presence out of a sudden," he said in between chuckles, taking a few steps back to steady himself and landed his palms on the handle of the large refrigerator to grab a new cake. "I wanted to visit you while I come and grab a new chocolate cake. Is everything alright with the cupcakes for tonight? As display in front of my eyes, I can say the cake looks too beautiful to be eaten. How much longer do you need?"
