Involving mortals into this dangerous plan never sounded smart, but they had the rights to learn what would possibly happen to their friend and the universe if the wrong step had been taken. They knew well that no matter what choices they made, everything comes with a cost. It is the nature of the world. Angelo stood up from the crumbled couch, heading back to his room to obtain the precious book he had once illegally brought out from Halion. Standing in front of the mirror, Angelo stared in his own reflection as reassurance that he is making the right choice. He picked up the book, cradled it tightly to his chest and headed out to the group. When he came eye to eye with the relic set on the table, Angelo's eyes widened at the sight of it.
However, Angelo settled himself calmly on the couch, placing the silver-blue book on the table. Just as he expected, Lithius was taken aback by the sight of the book. They exchanged glances before turning to face both Jiang and Annika who constantly stared at the items on the table without saying a word. All that accompanied them were the sound of the machine whirring from the aquarium. Lithius clasped his palms together, nodding at the sight before meeting the mortals' confused gaze.
"Here's the plan," Lithius stated, waving his palms above the coffee table and from below, purple magic danced alongside the edges forming patterns and symbols above it. "Angelo is going to walk into the confinement Carson has built for Ansel. So, first, we are going to build a platter from the symbols in the book and then, I will use my magic to guide Angelo into those dreams. There are a total of ten symbols needed for this process. We are going to draw it on a mirror to allow an opening path to Carson's confinement. From there, we will try to wake Ansel's soul and guide her back to her body."
Jiang squinted at the explanation, his palms, pointing towards the opening passage that formed in between two souls, assuming one would be Angelo and the other Ansel.
"So, if you open a passage to the confinement Carson has created, wouldn't it warn him, like the security systems in the mall? Wouldn't it worsen the situation? And, how exactly is guiding Angelo into the dreams help in the process?" Jiang questioned and pointed towards the relic settling comfortably next to the book. "How is that going to play a part in all these?"
Lithius smirked at the question. He nodded.
"You are right, it will alert Carson about the breach, Jiang, but if Angelo is the one walking through it, Carson would never realize. Remember, Angelo is born a guardian of the Sun, even if he lost his power, he is a walking replica of the natural creation. Basically, they share the same nature, so Carson is never going to realize. What makes it more secure is that Angelo once practised dark arts to pass as a guardian of the Dead, so with his nature merged together, it will never trigger Carson. Angelo can walk right through it like a shield. I can only guide his soul into the dreams, but he has to do the work alone. Power or no power, he is still a part of the Sun and the Dead. I would have done it on my own, but I do not belong in those so it would wreak havoc. Jonathan still does not have his powers completely trained, hence Angelo is the only person who can do this," Lithius explained, picking up the relic. "This is a dagger crafted out of the teeth of the only silver Griffin in Halion six centuries ago. Griffins are pure creatures, so when they passed, we picked their teeth and morphed them into weapons. It can destroy anything in the world just with one deep piercing into the heart."
"Sounds like we have a solid plan this time," said Annika. "And, how exactly are we going to build the platter? What do you need?"
"I had it all figured out. The book gave me enough guide to it. I only need Lithius to examine the symbols. One wrong stroke can cause a rupture in between worlds," Angelo explained and added. "I hope you don't mind me using the mirror in my room to draw these. It's erasable. Once Lithius's magic empowered them, they will disappear one by one slowly to form a passage."
