Carson jolted in his seat, sending the empty bottle next to him against the wall. It shattered, alerting his senses about the missing human body on his bed. His fiery eyes scanned the room, realizing that two guardians had sneaked into his precious confinement. It didn't take him long to recognize the energy left behind so carelessly by the young guardian. He stormed out of his room, heading towards the cupboard and pulled out a double-bladed sword. Shutting it tight, Carson headed out, gathering all the guardians who were distracted by the broken skies. A wide smirk cracked on his lips, causing him to look like a beast with intense scars. Slamming his weapon on the ground, orange fractures formed on the ground, demanding attention from all guardians under his guard. Feets stomped rhythmatically, facing Carson.

"A precious gift was stolen from me," Carson spoke, scanning each of his armies. "Halion's ground will be invaded again and balance would never be restored. If you want Halion to be safe, destroy anything that comes in our way. Remember, Angelo and Jonathan would be returning to steal our peace In return for all your loyalty, I will grant each of you a seat in the Golden Chateau. You will have the power to restructure Halion's messed up society."

A cough was executed among the soldiers, followed by a burst of tiny laughter that floated through the air.

"Messed up society?" A young Sea guardian challenged, looking right into Carson's eyes boldly. "You forget that some of us were forced to be here. You bring terror to the generations after you, then, claimed yourself to be a worthy leader. We are not messed up, you are."

"Are you planning to turn yourself into a buffet set?" The elder guardian hissed, holding onto his palms, hoping for the boy to remain silent. Instead, he swatted her hand away.

"The guardians from the Sea are worst than the ones from the Sun," Carson grinned, setting his weapon by the door of his mansion and stood tall. "You live in seclusion yet make such a big entrance to Halion as if we crave for your existence. Your people define tolerance on a different level. And I have none of it."

The boy stayed silent in seconds. Blood splattered out of his neck, landing onto the guardians next to them. The body slumped forward, setting up in flames while Carson stared at it, grinning evilly. After putting his plans this far, Carson was not going to let anyone ruin it. His powers regaining themselves, moulding in between those plump fingers systematically. He arranged his steps carefully to the front, staring into every single one of the guardians who stood with him.

"Kill those who are against us and let us rise with new rules amongst us."

Angelo stood tall facing the large forgotten door. Painted in different shades of black and brown, the ancient markings remained to be the prominent features of the entrance. These markings were contributed by the fallen creatures of Halion. They sacrificed their souls and bones through magic so that the door to the dead remained seal and protected. Angelo's knowledge on this needed boosters, so he removed a large rock away, studying the hidden guides carefully. Lithius and Jonathan stood behind him silently, allowing him to execute his duty. Angelo's long mortal years had affected the door's memory towards his energy. Thus, only he could activate it to reclaim his place.

Running his slender fingers across the circle lines, Angelo focused his magic on it, filling out the gaps with markings crafted specifically for the souls. He lit up the seven locks that sealed it, feeling the satisfaction surged through his veins. It felt almost ages ago that he executed such powerful magic. The reins clicked against each other, triggering the marks to shine effortlessly. Angelo smiled, clasping his palms together. He heard soft snores coming from the inside. Slowly, the rattling chains withered away immediately, replaced by the sounds of heavy footsteps and orders coming from the voice of his old commander.
