The ground rumbled dangerously below them. Skies ruptured, forming streaks of jet black bags of dust. Guardians who were patrolling around Carson's mansion stopped their actions, studying the now ruptured atmosphere. Worried had been a part of the emotions they shown due to the idea of some who are forced to join Carson's side. Jon held onto the rock, watching the guardians dispersing from their position like dandelions. Glancing down at the bracelet he wore around his wrist, Jon signalled for Bria to bring him into the mansion. As much as Jon appreciate the idea of being the temporary leader among the guardians of the souls, his powers did not have the chance to manifest properly due to his constant trip to Earth. Bria could be the best option to replace Lithius at the moment. Jon felt his body shivered as they travelled into the mansion quickly. A sigh of relief escaped his lips when he saw no one else in the mansion and Bria removed their invisibility shield.

"Carson really puts a lot of trust in the selected guardians," Bria mused, straightened her back while her muscles cracked in comfort. "For one holding a human as fugitive, Carson is letting anyone walk into his mansion so openly."

Jon clasped his palms around Bria's mouth, almost cutting himself by the dagger she hid in the pockets of her jacket. He pointed towards the half-opened room. Carson's figure limped on a rocking chair next to Ansel's. He stood in front of Bria, meeting her gaze. The elder decided on keeping themselves invisible till they have succeeded in getting Ansel out of this mansion.

"He knows no one would be so dumb to walk into here like us. We are asking for a death wish. Carson has travelled into the dreams he set, but he could still hear us. Come on, let's get Ansel and bring her back to Earth," Jon said as they both tiptoed into the room, not stepping onto some of the books that were left on the floor. Pages were torn in multiple areas.

A creaking sound executed from Jon's shoes, halting both their movements on the spot. Bria stopped the younger, motioning for a different direction as they trotted. Stepping over papers and feathered pens, they reached to the side of Ansel's bed. Jon could see the colour of her face turning pale. Her lips dried, indicating the lack of water in her system. He despised the fact that Carson could make deaths looked too human. It is one benefit of Carson's magic that Jon wished someone would rip it away. Bria had her gaze fixated on Carson, her palms on Jon's shoulders, ready to transport the younger guardian and human out of Halion.

Carrying Ansel in his arms, he watched her limp body swayed as her head crashed onto his chest at the gravity around them. He took one last glance at Carson who began to stir in his movement and nodded. Bria, knowing the risk they are playing, transferred both Jon and Ansel back on Earth. They landed on the field in front of Ansel's home gently. Bria set her gaze on Ansel, reaching out to feel the very faint pulse on her neck and frowned.

"There are too many possibilities that I can't land myself on one," Bria said, staring at the home in front of them. "I wish you, Angelo and Lithius all the best. Until we meet again, Jon."

With that, Bria disappeared from Jon's sight, leaving nothing but a gush of cold wind across his face. He balanced Ansel carefully, walking towards the home.

Strong wind blasted from the platter, burning the symbols off the mirror, shattering it completely. Clouds of smoke built up within the room, causing Jiang and Annika to cover their face. The fire on the candles disappeared sending all of it to tumble down like the bowling pin being hit by a strong force. Magic disappeared from everyone's sight claiming their spot in his palms and the edges of his fingertips. Lithius reached out, grabbing Angelo's body before it fell into his embrace. Angelo's stiff body landed in his palms while the veins in his body glowed with unnatural colours that bonded the lost connections together. Lithius watched the youngest mumbled. Black yellow light radiated from within Angelo's body.
