It took almost two hours to persuade Angelo that she didn't need any company, but the angel insisted no matter how much she denied it. Ansel gave in finally, understanding Angelo's intentions. Just three weeks ago, their local news reported four suspicious deaths. Even though there had been visible wounds that convince the mortals, Angelo doubted it was a human's action. A human would never leave their weapons lying around unless they had been waiting for a scapegoat. Ansel showed Angelo her university's cafeteria, bought him a fresh pie and a cup of coffee, telling him not to wander around aimlessly.

Ansel didn't understand the whole idea of conducting the meeting late in the evening. It started around six in the evening, but because of their advisor's delay, the meeting only started at seven. She wasn't even meant to be here. Feeling a nudge by her arms, she lifted her head from the sight of her doodles to face Faris. The boy pointed his fingers towards Ethan who seemed to be staring at her even though he tried hard not to. Rolling her eyes, Ansel listened towards the meeting carefully when their advisor mentioned in her department. Annika didn't have to be there because the performances were all set.

"Did Mr Xing replied to you about our choices of orders?" Miss Anong questioned, staring right at her with those round, large eyes. "According to the report, Mr Xing is the only one who has not confirmed his participation. Also, I need you to increase the orders for both murukku and laddu. Will you help inform Miss Presna about it? I'm going to need her confirmation by Sunday. You don't have to worry about Thailand's traditional cuisines. My cousin who owns a restaurant agrees to provide it."

Miss Anong is a sweet lady. She came into the university this January and had been the best lecturer Ansel encountered. It might be biased of her to put such quick judgements, but Miss Anong was spectacular. She has been the most understanding lecturer among the ones she recognized and known. It had been almost impossible to defy her orders when the lady offered help to her even at the most ridiculous hours. Picking up the report Faris handed, Ansel, glanced through it and nodded.

"Sure, Miss," Ansel replied gently. "I will contact Mr Xing again during office hours tomorrow and inform Miss Presna about the additions. She did question me about any additions the other day because since it is almost Deepavali, the Festival of Lights, she promised a good deal of promotion for us. I'll be sure to mail you all the information by next week."

Before Miss Anong could reply, Ethan raised his arms in the air, gaining her attention.

"My family knows Mr Xing well. I can help quicken the process. Besides, I am heading down to his restaurant tomorrow for the company's lunch party," said Ethan seriously. "That is if it is alright for everyone in the team."

Miss Anong stayed silent for a while, then finally nodding at his words.

"Sure," said Miss Anong cheerfully, turning to face Ansel. "My student has a lot of work to balance with, so your help will be much appreciated. Just give me a call when everything is settled."

Ansel watched Ethan nodded happily. She endured another thirty-minute of unnecessary conversation with the team before they were finally dismissed. Groaning internally, Ansel packed her bags quickly, jogging her way lightly to the cafeteria. There was no one there except for a few cleaners who were diligently mopping the tiles. Scanning through the area, she finally spotted Angelo sitting by the corner of the cafeteria, enjoying the dark scenery on the outside.

Arranging her steps carefully to the angel, she wrapped her arms around his neck and planted a shy kiss on his cheeks before standing straight again. Angelo let a soft chuckle escaped his lips, turning around to face her.

"I'm sorry it took longer than expected," Ansel sighed, brushing her hair backwards as they both head out of the cafeteria. "Are you hungry? We can head over to the nearby food cart to get your favourite cheeseburgers and fries. It's on me."
