Wails were heard clearly from the rattling bottle. Angelo stuffed the bottle inside the pocket of his trousers. He could still hear Carson's continuous cursing on him.  The bottle executed a blast of energy, but the powers weaved around it shackled Carson's soul strongly. Angelo whipped his head to look at Jonathan mocking the sounds he could hear, mumbling on his own. His lips curved upwards at the sight. Rebuilding the ruins would be one of their main tasks, but with guardians and angels coming together, it should not take more than three weeks. Without Carson, his soldiers retreated to their sections. Those who came from different places needed to seek their angel's acceptance and for that matter, Angelo would not interfere. Lithius and Jon stood next to Angelo, watching the guardians disappear one by one while the families reunite after a messy evening.

"It's finally over," Jon said, scanning Halion's silence and hummed. "Even though there is no party to celebrate this, I have to admit, Halion's air felt fresher without Carson's touch. Shall we return and complete the process? Carson's screams are all around my head. He's wailing like a child without its pacifier."

"Worse," Angelo replied, motioning for his armies to return with him. "A child can behave better than him. Are you coming with us Lithius, or do you have to return to the Planets?"

"I have matters to discuss with you, regarding Ansel, so I will be heading to your cave before I meet Erasmus," Lithius answered, rolling his amethyst scaly whip in a circle and hung it around his shoulders. "The boy can practice his duties while I am not around."

They retreated to the dark caves. Angelo permitted his soldiers to rest, advising Edrie and Bria to bring the injured to the healers. Snowbreaker had headed back to her cave for her sleep, leaving Angelo, Lithius and Jonathan by the door of his stony chambers. He needed to destroy Carson's soul before proceeding to any matters. It is a must. Both Angelo and Jonathan made their way towards the blazing pit located at the end of their realm. Unlike the other side of this realm, this part had been painted with the brightest blue colour Lithius had ever seen. Surrounding it were creatures crawling on all fours. Their eyes were crescent in shape, legs as long as an oversized spider and body as large as a tortoise's shell. Atop of it, a topaz gem was buried. They chattered in whispers and rattles, fixating their gaze on Lithius.

"He is with me," Angelo spoke. "Open up the blaze, we are here to destroy the soul of Carson, the second-eldest son of Deminus."

"Carson," the creature hissed, clicking their teeth together in fury. "His soul is too foul to be set in the blaze. It will ruin the souls of humans and guardians we bury. This is too little of a punishment for the arrogant guardian, Lord Angelo."

"Too little?" Lithius mused. "Then, where else should we put him? He needs to be destroyed completely. If we don't throw him in the blaze, where else?"

"There is a pit, a pit we create for souls who once did mistakes that could not be forgiven. Carson's soul belongs in the legion pit. Hand his soul to us and we will destroy him for good," the brown creature crawled towards Angelo extended out his razor-sharp palms.

Nodding at the creature, Angelo took out the bottle from his pocket. Yellow flames slithered in within, searching for a way out. Jon flinched, hearing the sounds in his head. The creature cackled, motioning for the other to open up the legion that was a magical log that nailed its way on the opening. Angelo never heard about the legion from Males.

Could it be possible that his master had planned this?

He shook those thoughts away the second he saw blue flames swirled out, claiming the bottle with Carson's soul. The lock cracked. Carson's soul floated away, trying to escape, but the blue flames soared ahead, wrapping them around those orange fires. The wailing and screeching sound echoed in the cave. Angelo docked his head when he saw Carson's soul flared in his direction. Before it reached his forehead, the blue flames dragged the soul within the legion. Inside, multiple arms appeared, suppressing the power once Carson boasted about. Rocks fell inwards, the magical log snapped shut, sealing the place tight as the sound of Carson's screams faded and sun dust exploded from the corner of the log.
