The group made their way out the same way they made their way in: walking across the countryside until they found a small road that they could hope to hitch a ride on.

"If only Vincent parked his van somewhere else. I doubt he took it. It's probably just sitting there on the road parallel parked like before." Mary spit the words out like venom. "Fuckin pig."

"I still don't understand why he betrayed us," Camila pondered.

"Cause he's a pussy and Adriel's personal bitch," Ava spit back.

Lilith furrowed her brow. "Hey, how long has Beatrice been asleep?"

Camila looked at Beatrice who was laid over Mary's shoulder. Her eyes were closed peacefully and her lips were parted slightly. She was fast asleep. "Shit, she can't do that." She stopped in her tracks and put her bag down in the middle of the field. "Lay her down."

Mary obliged. Lilith and Ava moves forward to look down at the sleeping Beatrice. Camila tried speaking to her at first, saying her name firmly. When that didn't work, she began poking at her cheek, not wanting to shake her and worsen her condition.

"C'mon Beatrice," Ava mumbled to herself. She did feel bad. Lilith had a point and over and over again, Ava proved her right. All she did was make stuff hard for everyone else around her.

"I have an idea," Mary said, lifting her one shotgun in the air and pulling the trigger. The bullet exploded from the gun with a loud bang, scattering all surrounding birds and rodents in the tall grass. Beatrice shot up, eyes flung wide. She sat up and winced in pain.

"Mary!" Camila hissed. "You're going to blow our cover."

"We needed her awake. Now she is." Mary tucked her shotgun away. "Now let's get moving."

"How are you Beatrice?"

Bea looked at Ava. "How do you think she's doing?" Lilith interjected. "She got hurt coming after you."

Ava felt a pang at the comment and it must've shown itself outwardly.  Beatrice shot Lilith a glare that silenced any further comments.

Beatrice gave her a small smile. "Better."

"No more going to sleep." Camila playfully slapped her arm. "You scared me."

"Why? It's not the first time I've had a concussion. And it could've been worse. We could've been attacked."

Camila sighed. "Because this is the first time you've had one where we can't get you any help." She pat her lap before getting up. "We need to get moving. We're discussing our plans on getting out and then fixing the whole Adriel problem."

Beatrice grimaced as she stood up and began to wobble. Ava swooped in to wrap an arm around her before she could fall again. Beatrice put a hand to her head.

"I'll walk with you," Ava murmured to Beatrice. The rest of the Sisters heard it and no one offered a complaint. They slowly turned and began their walk.

"So, we know Vincent helped, but why? What could Adriel offer him? And where would he go for it now that he is almost definitely not a priest anymore?"

The other Sisters glanced at Ava. Mary spoke. "I guess we don't know him that well after all."

"At least Adriel hasn't found Ava yet." Camila gave a worried smile.

"Yeah, maybe his demonic gps isn't working for him," Ava chuckled. The tension was bothering her and she needed to diffuse it somehow.

"Or he's waiting for us to get nearer. Last time he had to us the wraith demons on the civilians. He's waiting to get us where he can use his powers to possess and shit."
