Sumire sighs as she tries the final dress on. She is still waiting on a reply from Urokodaki but she has finished the other two. She pulls on Sabito's and keeps it on, throwing her uniform into the bin.

She pulls her haori over the top and smiles, feeling less worried about a life of just walking and sitting. It was the life she was destined to do anyway. Maybe she should return back to her family?

No, bad idea, very bad idea.

Sumire stares at the reflection of her uniform in the bin for a moment, memories flashing through her mind. All the missions she went on, the people she saved, the demons she slew. Also, the entire reason she joined the corps was one; act out against her family and prove them wrong for assuming and planning out her life for her, and two; to keep the people safe like the demon slayers before her that kept the generations that came before her safe.

But, it would seem that not all dreams come true, or at least they do but not for as long as one would hope. Sumire hates the fact that she has been turned into a half breed, anyone would. She is now the monster she has been trained to destroy, and yet she can't seem to hate the way she is, she just hates who it happened and who took part in it.

There was a moment there, when she was in the house, being beaten up and when her face was being tried to be ripped off that she was sure it would happen. She was sure that she had been abandoned and that the slayers would leave her for dead.

That she was alone and would be turned into a demon and the only time she would ever seem them again would be to meet them on opposing sides of a battle, being ordered to annihilate each other or to face death. Sumire was sure that her life was over then.

But she has been wrong before and she was wrong again. So they will keep her saving lives as an inside job, maybe a healer? A cleaner? A gardener? But she highly doubts she will ever be given the job of leaving the headquarters again. That is why she has chosen to leave. She will be leaving tonight, while Giyu is still away and Tokito can't order her to stay.

She has it planned out like last time and will not be dragged back like before.

But no, Urokodaki-sensei thinks not.

Just as Sumire starts to pack her bag, shoving the dresses and any extra clothing into it. The man comes slamming into the room, not waiting to be invited in or to have someone show him around, he just follows her presence and barrels headfirst into the building and over to the girl in question.

"Sumire." He says dangerously quiet.

The said girl pauses as he says it, knowing that he has to about to kill her if he uses that tone of voice.

"I hear you are leaving the corps." The man takes a deep breath in. "Is that true?"

Sumire continues shoving clothes into her bag, nodding slightly to the man but not looking at him.

"After everything that I have done? After everything that you have done?" The man doesn't have emotion in his voice, he's just spitting out the facts to the girl.

Sumire sighs and places her bag down on her bed and sits down, "Urokodaki-sensei I'm tired. I'm sick and tired of these people who are at the top."

The old man looks at her pointedly beneath his mask, silently reminding her that he was once one of the people at the top. She doesn't seem to respond or have any reaction towards this.

"I am constantly reminded of how cruel the world is." She mumbles, her head falling into her hands, "I don't mean demons eating humans but humans attacking humans and people around here not caring for the people below them."
