The day had come. 'Get up, Y/N. Time to go to the City of-' Her thoughts were cut off by loud music and someone saying, "Dance with me, my friend! The crowd awaits! Show them you are worthy of a starring role!" "Wait, wait. Grimm?!" Y/N immediately got ready and dashed to the main area, where she found little Ghost fighting Grimm! "Wait. What?! What's going on?!" She thought. Then she noticed the audience of grimmkin in the back. "Oh. It's just an act....it's...not real, right? Nah. Grimm would never hurt anyone!" Y/N thought to herself. "Well, might as well watch! This music is really catchy..."After fifteen minutes, Grimm teleported back into the middle of the area, bowing to Ghost. He said somethings to him, but Y/N was too amazed to even listen. "Wow! That was amazing! And-and the way he bows...." Y/N giggled and went back to her room, preparing herself for the City of Tears. Soon, Grimm knocked at her door. "Come in!" He came in, smiling. "I saw y-you watching, Y/N! What d-did you think?" He asked. Y/N laughed and replied, "I thought it was amazing!" "Haha thank you! S-so, are you ready?" He asked. Y/N nodded. "How long will we be staying?" She asked. "Well, I'm thinking for a day, but if things get out of hand, we'll stay in a hotel...." He said. Y/N nodded. "So, when will we be going?" She asked. Grimm chuckled and replied with, "Now!"
"Wow!!!" Y/N exclaimed. "This is....beautiful!!" She was right! Rain was poring everywhere and the buildings were glass so you could see outside. The two sat on a bench, staring out. Y/N on the left and Grimm on the right. "What a wonderful sight..." Y/N mumbled. Grimm heard it and smiled. "Well, I know an even more beautiful place~" He replied. Y/N looked up at him. "R-really?" He nodded. "I'll bring you there in a couple minutes..." Grimm said. "O-okay!" Y/N replied. They spent the next ten minutes gazing out the window.
"Are you ready to go?" Grimm suddenly asked, making Y/N jump a bit. "Oh! Yes. Let's go!" She said. Grimm got up and bowed jokingly. "Come, my lady~" Y/N giggled. "Oh! Haha! I shall~" They both laughed. "But seriously. Come on!" Grimm said. Y/N smiled and proceeded to follow him. Outside, it was raining (well, obvi) so Grimm shyly bought out an umbrella and covered both of them. "O-oh. Thank you, Grimm!" Y/N said. He chuckled. "No problem."
When they finally reached where Grimm had wanted to go, Y/N gasped. "Woah....this is....beautiful!" "Haha...I know, right? It's the memorial to the Hollow Knight. He sacrificed himself...all for nothing..." Grimm trailed off at the end. Y/N slowly nodded. "Oh..." There really was nothing to say, so Y/N walked forward and read the plague. "Memorial to the Hollow Knight, Sealed in the black vault above, it's sacrifice to Hollownest lasts eternal" Grimm nodded and sighed. "Tell her, Grimm! Now's the time!" Grimm thought. "Tell him, Y/N! Now!!!" Y/N thought. "Grimm?" "Y/N?" They both said at the same time. "O-oh. Sorry! You go first!" Grimm said. "No, nooooo. Y-you go first!" Silence. Then, they both laughed. "How about this. We both say it at the same time, no matter how odd it sounds!" Grimm said, still laughing. Y/N smiled and nodded. "Alright" They both counted down together. "3, 2, 1!" "I love you."
Finally! Loveeeeeee. I REALLY love the City of Tears! Especially the music! Every time I enter it, I just stand near the statue and listen to the music. :') Hope you enjoyed! See ya!
