Chapter 41

The two walked through the crossroads, Grimm shielding Y/N as he slashed enemies. "Which way does it show to go now, Y/N?" He asked, panting for air. "Uh...right." She said. Grimm nodded. " 'Kay. Follow me-" Y/N cut him off by walking in front of him. "Grimm chill. I've been here before!" She exclaimed. Grimm sighed. "Before it was infected..." He commented. They both resumed walking, and walking, and walking, until: "Grimm. We're here." Y/N said, snapping Grimm out of his 'trance'. "Ah. Nice. This looks cozy!" He said quickly. Too quickly... "Hm...Grimm? You okay?" Y/N asked. "Mhmm." He reassured. "Nope. You're not." She said. Grimm glared at her for a long moment. "I'm fine." He said sternly. Y/N sighed. "We're not going in there until to tell me what's wrong." She said, slightly raising her voice. Grimm gave her a 'what the actual-' look. Silence. Finally after five minutes, Grimm gave in. "Sorry...it's just that...something is off..." He whispered. Y/N gave him a questioning look. "What?" She asked. Grimm sighed. "The....uh...tension...it's-it's...something's wrong. Something's off..." Grimm rambled. Y/N gave him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry! It's just Quirrel. And plus. I'm with you!" She said, lightly hugging him.

            Grimm laughed. "Hah. I'm probably just worried about the infection...you know what? Let's just go inside." He said, grabbing Y/N's arm. She nodded. They both headed in, hand in hand. "Quirrel! It's us! Y/N and Grimm." She said cheerfully as they walked in. No reply. "Must be in a different room..." She mumbled. They both walked further into his home. Nothing. "Uh....where is he?..." Grimm asked. Y/N squeezed his hand tighter. "What if something happened to him?!" She exclaimed. Suddenly, muffled yells were heard from afar. "Quirrel!? Is that you?" Y/N yelled before beginning to run to him. No reply. Grimm followed close behind. More yells we're heard. "We're coming!" She yelled. Y/N skidded to a stop when she reached Quirrel's bed/book room. Grimm bumped into her, making her whisper-yell, "Grimm! Careful!" He just shrugged and dragged her into the room.

           The first thing they saw was Quirrel tied to one of his chairs. A figure was putting tape over his mouth. "Quirrel!! What the-no." Yep. In case you didn't already know, NKG was there too. Yay. "Nightmare King! Let go of him now." Grimm demanded. NKG put on a 'awh' face. "Grimm, Y/N! What a pleasant surprise! You see, my friend Quirrel and I were playing a little game...would you like to join?" NKG asked, taking a step closer to the two, causing them to take a small step back. "First let him go." Y/N said, crossing her arms. NKG pouted. "Hm. But where would all the fun go?" He asked, beginning to walk towards Y/N. Grimm defensively took a step forward. "You better stop now." He said. NKG stopped in his tracks. Nobody said anything. Well, Quirrel couldn't say anything, since he had tape over his mouth. NKG clicked his tongue. "Alright then. Here are the rules~"
