Chapter 17

The first thing Y/N noticed when she opened her eyes was that NKG was standing not very far from her, but his back was facing her. "H-he-" She was cut off by him saying, "So, I heard that you and Grimm were in a........relationship." Y/N held back a laugh. "S-so~ are you jealous?" She asked teasingly. He turned around to face her. "No. Has he...explained to you why I exist?" He asked. Y/N could tell that he was serious. "U-uhhhhhh...no..." NKG smirked. "Well, if he didn't explain it to you, why should I..."  Y/N almost wanted to ask him to explain, but decided against it. "Um, h-how long will you keep me in here...?" She asked. NKG muttered something beneath his breath, but Y/N couldn't hear what. "Well~since you gave me the option, let's wait until 'Prince Charming' comes and saves you."

           Y/N's shoulders slumped down. "Ugh. God knows how long that will be-wait." Y/N moved her shoulders again. "Ha! I can move!! Wait. I can only move my arms. Dang. Hold up-where is Nightmare King!" Y/N looked around. No one was near. It was dark. Very dark. "Grimm! Where are you??!!" Y/N thought. "Hold on. I'm coming! Be there in five." Grimm's voice said in her head. "Oh phew-wait. How are you talking to me!?" She thought. More like said, but mentally...idk. "I'll explain later. Hang in there and don't let Nightmare King do anything to you."  He replied. "Okay...got it."

         Five minutes passed. Then ten. Then fifteen. Y/N was starting to get worried. "Grimm? You there?" No response. "Oh god oh god oh god!" Y/N whispered. "Lol jk I'm here. Behind you." He said. Y/N turned around. "Oh my god, Grimm! Don't scare me like that! O-oh!" Y/N was scooped up by Grimm, who softly laughed. "Don't worry...let's get outta here." He snapped his fingers and they were teleported out of there, but then Y/N heard NKG's voice in her head. "I'll be there~"

              As soon they were back in the hotel, Y/N hugged Grimm tightly. "Oh? You missed me that much? It was only like, an hour..." He said, hugging back. "N-no! I mean, I missed you, but...I-I think Nightmare King has found out how to connect with me! Wha-Grimm! Are you alright?" Grimm was focusing on nothing particular, as if her were talking to someone in his head. "Oh. No. He's talking to you, isn't he?" Y/N asked. Grimm nodded slowly. "Yep." Y/N sighed and pulled back from the hug. "Don't worry, Grimm. We'll get through this together!" Y/N said hopefully. Grimm returned it with a sad smile. "Yes...but I need to warn you...Nightmare King and I are technically the same person...so-so he'll be able to take over my body at anytime..." He said sadly. "I'm really, really sorry...I-I don't have any control at that time." Tears shone in his eyes, which Y/N quick wiped away. "No, it's okay...I'll be able to..uh. Defend myself! How long does it normally last?" Grimm sighed and replied, "A-about twenty minutes...look, I'm so sorry..." Y/N smiled and kissed his cheek. "Don't worry! It's alright."
