For the next few days, Y/N avoided contact with Grimm, no matter how upset that made her feel. Of all the thoughts that were in her mind, the one that she settled with was: "He doesn't trust me..." Brumm and Divine noticed their behavior, but didn't really pay attention to it, since everything else was normal. One day though, Y/N was walking to her room, when she accidentally went into Grimm's. "Bleh. Force of habit..." She thought. Y/N couldn't resist taking a glance at Grimm, who was sleeping on his bed. Y/N frowned and began to walk out, when she almost tripped on something...."What? It's the book.... She thought as she picked it up. Y/N began flipping through the pages. There were pictures of figures that looked like Grimm and some kind of....heart? To her luck, none of the pages were written in any language that looked familiar. "What is this stuff..." She whispered quietly. On the third page, Y/N was able to recognize a word! "Ritual? What?" She said. Grimm began to shift in his bed. Y/N quickly put the book down and dashed out of his room, with the word 'ritual' ringing in her head.
"Ritual? What could that mean? Ok look. So far, you've got a red heart thing, something about flames, and something about a ritual..." Y/N said to herself. Yep. That was what she was doing for the last half hour. Finally, finally, she came to a conclusion: "*Gasp* I've gotta get that book! More information might be in there!" Alright. Y/N knew that wasn't the best option, but she was very confused and upset at the time.
That night, Y/N crept into Grimm's room. Of course, she couldn't help but stare at Grimm's sleeping figure. Her neutral face turned into a quivering frown. "What happened, Grimm. Why is this happening? I'm sorry...I-I...." She thought somberly. Her eyes then darted to his desk. "Forgive me...but I can't have you hiding things from me..." Y/N whispered, almost silent. She carefully walked over to his desk and pulled open the drawer. "Here it is..." Y/N thought as she picked up the book. She sighed as she walked out of his room, tears blurring her vision.
"Alright. Let's see...Ah." Y/N said as she sat down on her bed. She opened the book, flipping through the pages. "Ophm aghei dreapea? W h a t?" She whispered. A couple pages later, Y/N came across and image. It was old and looked something like:
Yes that is my art. It took me five mins to make so it ain't my best work...uh-
"Woah...what is that?" She mumbled. She was able to recognize the words 'Nightmare Heart' on the page. "Hm. Maybe that is the....Nightmare Heart...wow...wait. Why wouldn't Grimm tell me any of this?" She said to herself. Realizing that she might've said it too loud, she looked around. Luckily, nobody was there. "I should probably get to sleep.... Y/N thought as she closed the book and put it under her bed. "I'll look at it some more tomorrow then put it back...yep." Again, that wasn't the best choice, but Y/N was tired, okay? After that, it wasn't long before she slept.
Oh. Ummmmmmm...hi? Like last time, idk what to say...Hope you enjoyed! See ya!!!!
