One hour. Two hours. Three. "Nothing?" Grimm's exhausted voice called for the millionth time. "Nothing." Y/N replied back. Grimm sighed. "Do..do you wanna take a break? I cloud really use one." He suggested. Y/N let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding. "Hehe yea..." She admitted. They both sat down next to each other. "It's almost like there is no exit at all..." Grimm mumbled. Y/N sighed. "Mhmm...wait..." She whispered. "This room...w a i t-" When realization hit her, her eyes widened. "Oh my god...this room! Hold on. Remember when I told you how Nightmare King and I met before? In my dreams? Remember?!" She asked enthusiastically. Grimm smiled a bit seeing how excited she was. "Yep remember...what about it?" He asked. "This was the room!!!! There was an exit! Yes! I remember! Follow me!!" She exclaimed while getting up. Grimm's smile grew as he followed her. Y/N went to one of the walls and stared at it. "I-I don't get it...it was legit right here!!" She said sadly.
Y/N began frantically pressing the wall to see if there was any switch or button to open the exit. "It was here! Between the black and red walls...this has to be it! Right?..." Y/N questioned. Grimm sighed and hugged her from behind. "Ya know...sometimes he can be a trickster. Wait. Does he even know that you're in here?" Grimm asked. "Nope. He was really drunk when I stumbled in here." Y/N replied quietly. Grimm hummed. "Alright good. Wait-do you think that we could find a way out of this basement? I could then teleport us outta there." He asked. Y/N froze. "Wait. Can't you just teleport us out now?" She asked. Grimm chuckled. "Nope. Already tried. Many, many failed attempts." He grumbled. Y/N nodded and walked away, sighing. "Mhmm. What do we do now?" She asked. Grimm shrugged. "Let's take a break then try to get outta here." He said. Y/N nodded. " 'Kay."
They both sat down and took a break. A very, very, very stressful break. Even though their bodies were idle, their minds were dashing from thought to thought. Senecio to senecio. Soon, they fell asleep again. Dreaming of finding an escape.
Once they woke, Grimm asked, "Should we keep looking?" Y/N replied with a nod. They both got up. "Hold on. Why don't we just try to get out this area? If we get out, I could teleport us out." Grimm suggested. Y/N smiled a bit and nodded. "Oooookay. I fell aroundddddddddd here." Y/N commented. Grimm looked at where Y/N was pointing and gasped when he saw how long of a fall she must've had. "Wow...you really fell from all the way up there?!" He asked, dumbfounded. Y/N giggled and replied, "Yyyyyep." "What?! Are you hurt?! Why didn't you-" He was cut off by Y/N putting her finger in her lips, singling him to be quiet. "I'll find you soon! Hahahaaaaaaaa...." *Thump* There was some silence. "So I'm guessing that was Nightmare King." Y/N said, clearly still angered by him. Grimm sighed. "Yep. Looks like he's still drunk. Wait! This is our chance!"
