Chapter 35

"Yes! There is only one problem: How do we get out?!" Y/N asked. Grimm looked up. "Uh...well, the thing is: I can't fly. I don't really know if you were expecting that from me...heh." He replied quietly. "Haha. Well, I know you can't fly. So, how are we supposed to get out?..." She asked. Grimm shrugged. "Whatever we choose, we'll need to be quick. Nightmare King could wake up any second now!" He exclaimed. "Way to put pressure on..." Y/N commented. Grimm laughed softly. "Nah don't worry. He'll probably get drunk all over again." He said. Y/N nodded. "So...what are your thoughts on this?" She asked, gesturing to the 'exit' above. Grimm hummed. "Eh...um. Could we maybe...climb?" He asked. "Climb? How??" Y/N replied. He shrugged. "Um...never mind. Let's look around and see if we could find something!"

So Y/N and Grimm spent the next fifteen minutes searching for items that might help them both. So far, no luck. What a surprise. "Er...find anything yet, Grimm?" Y/N asked from across the room-thing. "You already know the answer." Grimm replied. Y/N sighed and nodded. "Alright." Soon though, Y/N heard a loud groan and a sad chuckle from across the room. Of course, this caught her attention, making Y/N dash over to Grimm's side of the area. "Grimm?! What happened? Wh-" She cut herself off when she saw what Grimm was laughing at and didn't hesitate to join in. It was a ladder. "Pfft-whaaaaa?" Y/N asked. Grimm sighed happily and looked down at her. "It's a ladder. All I had to do was lean on this wall and boom! A ladder!" He explained. "Heh. Guess Nightmare King needed someway to get out himself, too." Y/N replied back. The two carried the ladder to the hole. And "surprisingly' it was just y'all enough to reach the top! "So, ladies first~" Grimm said, moving his arm towards to leader. "Aw. Such a gentleman." She replied back, playing along. Y/N climbed up the ladder, careful of her ever move. Afterwards, Grimm climbed up aswell. "Woah-" Y/N gasped, but was swiftly cut off by Grimm placing his hand over her mouth. "Sorry. Nightmare King just laying there startled me." Y/N said to Grimm using her mind. "I feel you. Now hold on! Let's get outta here!!" Grimm replied back. Y/N smiled and held on to his hand. With a snap, they were being teleported back!!

               When Y/N opened her eyes, she was back in the tents! All safe with Grimm. "I've never been so happy to see this area!" She thought. Y/N looked up behind her to find Grimm, smiling. "We did it! We're back!" She exclaimed, hugging him tightly. Grimm laughed and hugged back. "Hah...yes, Y/N. We're back, safe from him." He replied. Naturally, the two soon melted into a little kiss. A kiss that meant that they had survived NKG!
