"You're leaving?" Gulat kong tanong kay Xavier nang makita syang nag-susuot ng necktie.
"I have an urgent meeting." He answered while not looking at me kaya bahagyang kumunot ang noo ko.
"Everything you need is in the fridge. Please, don't move so often and take care." Mabilis nyang sabi bago sinuot ang suit nya.
I just nodded at him before he completely went out. Pag-labas nya ay mabilis akong umiling para mabura ang iniisip.
Hindi dapat ako pangunahan ng mga hinala ko because they're just hunches and don't have evidences. I am just stressing myself about this whole affair-theory-thing.

Pinapasok ko sya at pina-upo sa isa sa mga dining chairs. Maybe Xavier forgot to bring something.
"Na-istorbo ko po yata ang pag-kain ninyo." Nahihiya nyang sabi pero agad akong umiling.
"It's okay. What brought you here?" I asked with a small smile.
"May ipapa-pirma lang po ako kay Mr. Tavera. Kailangan na kailangan po kasi ng personal nyang pirma para sa FDA certification." Sabi nya bago linabas ang isang folder na nakapagpa-kunot ng noo ko.
"Isn't he in the office? Umalis sya kanina kasi daw may importante syang meeting." Tanong ko kaya bahagya ring kumunot ang noo nya.
"All his meetings are virtual while you're still pregnant at wala po akong memo na may meeting sya sa kumpanya o kahit saan." Sagot nya na nakapagpa-gunaw sa mundo ko.
Where did he went? Who did he meet that caused him to lie to me?
"Maybe he met with a friend." Naiiyak kong sagot before giving her a crooked smile.
"Is this urgent?" Dagdag ko pa at mukhang ramdam ni Cel ang bigat ng nararamdaman ko kaya mabilis syang umiling bago binalik ang folder sa folder case.
"Paki-sabi na lang po na pumunta ako dito at ang sadya ko. Pasensya na po sa abala." Sabi nya sabay tayo. "Wag nyo na po akong ihatid. I'll just lock the door." She said and I just nodded before she left.
Mukhang hindi ko rin naman kakayanin na tumayo dahil sa nerbyos but I tried my best to go to the landline. I am not gonna sulk for an uncertain reason.
With trembling fingers, I dialled Xavier's number and it took him long enough to answer.
"Is there a problem?" Bakas sa boses nya ang pag-aalala and I tried to blink away my tears and make my voice steady and normal.
"No. No." I said before taking a deep breath. "Your EA went here." I said and a moment of silence answered me.
"You're not in the office?" Tanong ko pa at hindi ko alam kung bakas ba sa boses ko ang pag-hihinala.
"No. I'm in Mandaluyong for a partnership deal with a hospital." His voice is laced with nothing so I smiled bitterly. He is lying. Based on his tone and based on what Cel told me.
