Three Forces as One

Chapter 16:

----Next year----
First day of 8th grade
I was so excited it was my last year in middle school and then I would be moving on up to high school. I put on my galaxy vans and my dark blue galaxy dress, it was adorable. I walked upstairs and saw Carter's stare on me. We had told Mom and Dad that we were together and that we and had been for a very long time. They thought it was great. I ate my breakfast it was Frosted Flakes in honor of how I had eaten them last year on my first day-and I loved them. Kandace walked down looking like a flat-out high school kid. She smiled at me and I smiled back. She would ride the bus to school and Mom would drive us whole Dad left for work. There had always been something odd about Dad, and little did I know I would figure it out soon. Mom drove us to school and we walked in. Even though we looked nothing alike we were known as the twin couple. So today he were galaxy converse and navy blue jeans with a galaxy shirt. People who knew our nickname laughed and said that we were adorable some even took pictures. When we walked into homeroom we got surrounded by the class, we kept the same classes and classmates all three years. It was nice and we didn't have to learn new names, schedules or lockers. We laughed with the class when our teacher walked in. We all silenced ourselves and went through our day. There was no one new in homeroom so it was just a simple reintroduction.

In band class I met up with my guy friends. Not like me and Carter, but all of my friends that were guys. I mean when your stuck together for a whole class you sorta have to be friends. I played on mostly everything in our section, we were good and we worked as a perfect team. They always talked about each other's shoes though. That was the one thing I didn't understand about boys, I mean what was so important about your "shoe game"? Ugh, boys are so confusing.

At the end of the day Carter and I met up and walked home talking and laughing about our day. When we got home we were soon ambushed by Mother who asked us all about our day which we answered to politely and then said that we wanted to get ready and relax and wait for Kandace to get home. We walked downstairs and I said that I was going to watch some tv and walked into our hang out room that now had a tv in it. I turned it on when something on the news caught my eye.

"This is Nancy Sanders here at the White House, we have been told that a woman and about ten guard like people walked in and anyone who got in their way was quickly pulled out of the way. They were pulled out of the way using strings of fire" I paused the show and froze. No this could not be happening they would not find us. We had worked so hard. I called Carter over to the tv. We continued watching after I filled him in. "We have just been told that there are other people with abilities on Earth and that's all they want. They said that if they turn themselves in that these fire people will leave Earth. The President has asked for them to turn themselves in for Earth's sake" She went through a small explanation of what we all looked like and what our names were when I saw a small bit of movement in the corner of the screen. A fiery rope tossed her out of the way and I saw a fire guard pick up the camera. "If you are watching turn yourselves in or we can come and get you the hard way, you have a week" I looked scared at Carter. We both had recognized that guard that wasn't any old guard. It was Jack.

I had heard of people tracking others by the fire bracelets, we just had to hope that they were too weakened by Carter's love. Then I heard the phone ring. . .with Joey's ringtone.

Back In Farana two weeks before the fire people went to earth. . .

Unknown POV:
"Where is my daughter, Nina?! I know she was here she was one of the people you took from my country!"
"Now, now, Ella let's not jump to conclusions. What if I told you that the girl I believe you are looking for ran to Earth?"
"Then you would go get her and. . .and if you got her I would surrender myself to you as long as you left her alone"
"Oh, but Ella I had a mighty fine time having fun with her. What if I said that I would leave all of your people alone. If I could have both of you. I mean she already knows how it works around here it wouldn't be too big of a change for her"
"And you'll leave my whole country alone?" I said my lip and voice quivering.
"Yes, all they will have to do is watch, you and your daughter's reuniting ceremonies"
"I agree to your terms" As I said this she pulled me towards her with her fire and hit my legs with a hot strand of fire and I blacked out.

Back to where we were before. . .

I went and answered the phone. " HOW DID THEY FIND OUT?!"

"I don't know they just did. Maybe someone had seen us, but wasn't sure until recently"

"Someone has to turn themselves in"

Carter spoke up now, "Why don't we all turn ourselves in except Kandace, and Connor if he wants to stay. Deal?"

"Yeah", I agreed followed by a, "Well you would probably call it majority rules anyway, from Joey. I quickly used a glamour to make our parents forget us and only remember Kandace, then I left a note for her saying what happened. Then we caught a bus to the other side of town to meet up with Joey. Unsmilingly she told us to hop in the car and we drove off. She said that we would wait, and on the very last day we would slowly travel up there and if they caught us on our way we would say that it was a long journey and we were on our way.

We went to school the next day, no one at school needed to forget us, and none of them knew about our sister or parents so it was fine. On Friday our last day I sat in six the period waiting for the bell with Carter laying asleep on my shoulder. When I felt it. The heat that started surrounding the room. The door burst open and a ton of guards came in. I could tell they were using glamour and no humans could see them. So I looked away and sat and stared at the clock.one of the guards had seen me look though.
