Confused Eyes

Padme hears a muffled ringing sound in her ears. It becomes clearer and clearer, strengthening and forming to create the sound of a voice.

Padme recognizes her aunt Jannah's voice. "Are you ok? Open your eyes if you can."

Padme's eyes struggle to open. She tries to speak, but she cannot find the words.

Jannah's face contorts with worry. "You passed out; I'll get your mum."

Padme can only nod groggily as Jannah runs off.

Who were the people she saw in her vision? She thought she recognised the woman, but both faces had been incredibly blurry.

It suddenly came to her.

Of course. The woman was Padme, her great-grandmother! But... who was the man?

She remembered seeing her great-granddad on her birthday, and he looked similar to the man in her vision, so she assumed the man must be him.

"Wow," she utters quietly to herself, amazed yet confused at why she would have seen something like that.

Unaware of Padme's distress Iris, Violet and the Mandalorian are busy being introduced.

Rey smiles as she introduces the Mandalorian to Rose. "Mando, this is Rose. Rose, this is Mando, and he's... obviously... a Mandalorian."

The Mandalorian went in for a handshake, but Rose wrapped her arms around him, much to both his and Rey's confusion. Rose breaks the hug a few seconds later and says, "This way."

He followed her to a small house similar to Jannah's, while Rey is shown to her room in Connix's house.

Rose walked through the door to the little house and asked, "Would you like anything to eat?"

Mando admired the décor and answered, "I'm not hungry."

"Ok, if you need anything, just ask."

Meanwhile, Rey settles into her room.

"Nothing has changed since you had Padme, help yourself to anything you want. There are clothes in the wardrobe," Connix informs her.

Rey smiles and says, "Thanks."

A second after Rey walks into her room, there's a nervous knocking at the door. Connix steps quickly towards it, opening the door to reveal a panicked Jannah.

"Is Rey here?" Jannah pants. She looks like she's run here.

"Yes, she's in her room. Let me go get her," Connix replies, eyes narrowed in confusion.

Jannah shakes her head, pushing past Connix as she desperately searches for Rey, eventually finding her in the room Connix gave her.

"It's Padme," Jannah breathes. "S-she's passed out. I don't know why. We were talking about a necklace she found, and then when she put it on, she collapsed."

Rey's eyes widen. "What?! Oh, my baby!"

Following Rey's lead, Jannah and Connix run to Jannah's house. They burst through the door to see Padme on the floor.

Rey kneels down next to her. "Padme? Are you alright?"

Padme nods. "Mom... I had... a vision."

"A vision? Well... what, uhm.... what did you see?"

"I saw Padme and Anakin," says Padme, taking a deep breath. "The last scene was of me though. I was next to her. Then... everything went black."

Rey looks confused for a moment... but then she remembers. "Like the vision I had when I held Anakin's lightsaber for the first time."

"What?" Jannah asked.

Rey stood up, "When I touched Anakin's lightsaber for the first time, I had flashbacks of... something, and I saw things that I had never seen before. Maz said that the lightsaber was calling to me. You said that she put on the necklace and then it happened?"

Jannah tilts her head to the side. "Yes. She put it on, and a few seconds later, she passed out."

Rey crouched down to Padme again and asked, "Where did you find this necklace?"

Padme answers in-between breaths. "It was on the desk. I changed and I saw a glimpse of gold, so I went over there to see what it was."

Rey ponders for a moment. She looks up at Jannah and Connix.

"Get Iris," she instructs them. "If anyone will know why simple wooden necklace would make my daughter see a vision of her great-grandmother, it would be her."
