III . The New Reality

Will's POV:
I really don't want to leave Hawkins. Even after everything that has happened, it's still my home and i don't want to leave. My friends and family are all there, it's like i'm leaving my whole childhood behind me and I don't know how i feel about it. I kept looking out the window the whole drive to the new house and i just can't seem to grasp that i'm actually leaving. El, Jonathan, Hop, Mom and me are all living in this new huge house in a really small neighborhood. That's Moms idea of blending. Mom and Hop keep telling El and me that the reason we left is because of all the craziness and the upside down, but i don't know if that's the real reason.

Me and El start school tomorrow. I imagine it's more intimidating for her than it is for me since she's never actually been to a real school before, but Mom arranged that me and her had all the same classes so she wouldn't get too overwhelmed. Her powers are starting to slowly come back. She was able to unlock the front door to our house without the key on move in day, so that's a good thing i guess. The only thing is that El always talks about Mike. She can't get into his head anymore, so everyday it's Mike this and Mike that. Sometimes i just don't want to talk about Mike and her relationship. Plus, they never officially got back together after Starcourt burned down.

I'm really nervous to start school in this new place. I'm especially nervous to start school without my best friend by my side. I've always done everything with Mike and he's always been there to support me and without him, i don't know if i'll be able to make it.

Will woke up the next morning with a piercing pain in his head and a sore back from the thin mattress laying on the floor that he slept on. All of his belongings are still sitting in a box in the living room of the new house. Will just hasn't had the energy to get up and actually move his stuff out of the boxes and into his new room. He knew that once he did, this place would become his home, and he wasn't ready to completely remove Hawkins as his home.
He stood up, let out a groan, and stretched himself out before making his way to the kitchen. Joyce and Hop were sitting at the dining room table waiting for him, El and Jonathan to wake up. When it came to breakfast, Will had limited options. Joyce hadn't gone shopping yet for any groceries, so his choice was stale cereal they saved from the old house, with no milk. Shortly after Will prepared his "breakfast", El came trotting down the hallway with the same back pains as Will.
"Good morning everyone." El said to the three sitting at the table
"Morning sweetheart, How'd you sleep" Hopper replied
"Bad, Back hurts" El said back
"Well Hop and I are planning on building all the beds today honey, sorry" Joyce interrupted
"Thank god" Will said under his breath as he stood up from the table to go put his bowl into the sink.
Will walked back down to his room and pushed and rummaged through boxes to find a box labeled "Will - Clothes". Once he found the box, he used a pen to split the tape and pulled out a red, shortsleeved shirt and a pair of white shorts. Before he could change, he was interrupted by a knock on his door.
"Will?" El said
"Y-yeah"
"Can you— help me pick out clothes? i have never had a first day of school" El asked while staring at the ground.
Will went over to Elevens room, which was right across the hall, and found her box of clothes. Most of her clothes were old items that didn't fit Hopper anymore. Will ended up going up to his moms room and asking her for some of her old clothes. Joyce agreed and came downstairs to help Eleven get dressed. El ended up wearing a short sleeved white shirt with high waisted blue jeans, a black belt, and her sneakers.
After both kids were all dressed and ready to leave, Jonathan decided to finally roll out of bed. Jonathan would begin his search for a new job today, hopefully he would come home successful. El and Will both gathered all their things and made their way to the car. Will was ready, but uncomfortable. He didn't want to start the year off without Mike and the rest of his friends.
Jonathan eventually made his way out to the car and drove Will and El to their new school. They both made their way to the front office and were showed around the school, how to open their lockers and where the bathrooms were. They were both paired with a former student to help them throughout the day. El got paired with a tall girl with short blonde hair named Ava, and Will with a boy who wasn't much taller than he was named Tyler. Hopefully, this would be the start of a good, new year for Will.

Tyler and Will spent the whole day together talking and laughing together. Tyler was alot of help when it came to Will starting the new school year. Will was 16 now and he was trying to figure himself out for certain before he made any choices about himself, and his day with Tyler really opened up his eyes.
At the end of the day, Tyler and Will met up with El and Ava at their lockers and they all went there seperate ways from there ( Except for Will and El of course.) . Will still didnt know how to feel about having a "sibling" that was the same age as he was, but then again, he always related to El and how she was feeling.

After school, El and Will both got picked up by Hopper and brought back home to the new house. They all walked in together, but Will ran down to his room, El went straight for the kitchen, and Hopper jumped on the couch for a nap. Joyce and Jonathan were both at work, so Hopper was in charge of cooking dinner for the two kids at home. With that being said, The kids were going to eat TV dinners.

After the kids both ate and showered, they both headed into their rooms and went to bed.

Hi, i don't really know what this chapter is, i felt like i needed to give some insight to what's going on with Will as well as Mike. Anyways hope you enjoy:)
