"and she was just dancing.. and i swear, i fell in love." steve listened as bucky went on and on about these little moments he had with y/n. moments that steve knew bucky cherished more than everything.
steve didn't want to interrupt, so he nodded his head, indicating he was listening. "she had this smile.. a smile that could bright up the whole universe in seconds.." bucky said with a grin, looking down.
"yeah?" steve said, watching as his friend gushed over the love of his life.
"yeah.. and her eyes, the way they sparkle whenever she's happy, the puppy dog eyes that she makes when she wants something.. i'd die for her." bucky sighed.
"the way her nose crinkles when she laughs.."
"her rosy cheeks, the way they get a certain shade of pink when she's embarrassed.."
"the way she always knows what to say. no matter what, she'll say the right thing to make you feel better."
"she's never failed to be there for me.."
"you love her, don't you?" steve asked, and bucky looked at him with a look that said, "is it that fucking obvious??"
soon, music began playing, and everyone turned their heads, including steve and bucky.
y/n walked down the isle with the most beauitful wedding gown that could ever possibly be made. it suited her, like it was made for her and only her.
bucky had sworn he'd never fallen as hard as he did at that moment.
sure, he'd fallen for her ages ago. but, now? he was certain that he wanted to be with her for the rest of his life.
y/n smiled, teary eyed as she shot a glance at bucky. bucky forced a wide smile.
she kept walking.
until she reached the end of the isle, where she met with quentin beck (or your choice of fictional character:)).
the music began to fade.
"you're too late, bucky.." steve whispered
