"Where's dad?" Jungkook asked as he went down the stairs while fixing the cuffs of his sleeves. His hair that was still damp from shower remained untouched with a few droplets of water sliding down.
Namjoon that was sitting on the table legs-crossed look up at him. He's having his usual coffee while reading news from his laptop. Namjoon motioned him to sit down. "Out of town, have breakfast with me."
The younger jumped from the remaining steps with ease. He brushed his hair with his hands as he approached his brother. He was welcomed with bread toasts, well, extra toasted, and slightly (like how Namjoon would like to describe) burnt eggs. Jungkook smiled sideways then grabbed a piece of bread and bit on it.
"How's school?" Namjoon turned to him, watching Jungkook eat... a little forced.
"Semestral break's in a week, meaning, more jobs for me." He answered nonchalantly, in fact, all these are expected and he's used to it. Namjoon however, showed a worried look.
"You should be enjoying your break, go on a vacation or something." The older suggested, as someone who is as hardworking, Namjoon knows the feeling. If he's in Jungkook's place right now, he would beg for a break. Somehow he blames himself for it, because it's no secret that he's a major influence to the younger ever since he was a child.
"I don't really need that, hyung. I'm fine."
Namjoon raised a brow then faced his laptop. He did a few clicks then showed the screen to Jungkook. "Ta-dah."
Jungkook eyed the poster. It says "Full Moon Party", and by the looks of it, his brother already reserved accomodations.
He shook his head, "Hyung, I'm not a party person, what will I do there?"
"I don't know, do whatever you want. Bring friends, have fun, breathe."
I can't go to beaches. That's what he wanted to say. Jungkook looked up and saw Namjoon's wide smile, how can he turn him down?
"Come with me then."
Namjoon shook his head. "Let's go together another time, for now, I want you to enjoy with your friends. Taehyung and Jimin would be thrilled."
"Yeah, those guys have been bugging me to bring them somewhere for so long now." Jungkook sighed.
"But it will be sad if you just bring 2, you should go ask some more friends. A girlfriend perhaps?" There's a hint of teasing in his voice, but he said it carefully as if avoiding points he doesn't want to touch.
Jungkook gave him a grin as if reassuring him. "I don't have a girlfriend, hyung."
"Yeah? If you don't have plans inviting anybody else, then bring Chaeyoung, she just called me yesterday, turns out she was back a long time ago, that kid."
