"Why is he mute since earlier?" Chaeyoung nudged Lisa's shoulders. They volunteered cutting vegetables as a help as her mom prepared the broth, rice, and other ingredients.
Jisoo and Jennie fancied themselves at their garden. Jennie saw the vibrant flowers matching with her dress so she decided to pull Jisoo to take photos.
The three guys, Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung were being taught by her aunt how to make tea. Well, it's just Jimin and Taehyung because Jungkook was zoning out since earlier. Hence, touching Chaeyoung's curiosity.
"He's probably shy after misunderstanding something earlier." Lisa giggled. She's still amused about the guy's confidence when he got it completely wrong. It's a bonus he's trying to learn basic Thai though.
Chaeyoung raised an eyebrow, her gossip meter up. "Misunderstood what?"
"I told something to my aunt in Thai, he tried guessing what it meant but got it wrong."
They both snickered. Chaeyoung covered her mouth and tried peeking at Jungkook. The guy caught her staring so he rolled his eyes. Chaeyoung fake gasped and threw him a glare. "He's a little perfectionist, that must be so embarrassing for him."
Lisa glanced at the guys, he caught Jungkook's gaze but the latter was too flustered to keep the eye contact and decided to focus on whatever her aunt is saying.
"I can relate to him in such sense. I tend to push myself to the limits most of the time. But I feel like he's on a different level."
Chaeyoung nodded, she then started peeling the remaining carrots. "With all the expectations of people weighing him down, Gguk's an amazing man. I don't think I can handle that much pressure."
"How long have you been friends?"
"Hmm.. since we're young? It was me, Tae and Jimin originally. Then Jungkook suddenly transferred to our school. At first he doesn't speak at all. Our teacher told us that we should understand him because he's been suffering from a lot."
"I wish I know more about him." Lisa said unconsciously. Chaeyoung smiled at her, she even half-hugged her with a hand occupied with a carrot.
"Jungkook is a book filled with a lot of plot twists. I think it's not my place to tell you about him, but you should try asking him. I know he'll open up to you. You're the type of person that softens everyone."
"But I'm scared."
"Of what? Of being attached?"
Lisa wasn't able to reply immediately, after seconds of silence, she nodded timidly. Chaeyoung chuckled.
