"Liz, Mr. Nam is looking for you. I will handle those."
Lisa was in the middle of arranging some props for later's stage when a classmate popped out of nowhere. She patted the dust off her hands before standing.
"Oh yes please, thank you, Nana."
She started walking, carefully avoiding the props laying on the ground. She knows she doesn't look presentable at the moment. Her hair's a mess, and the itchy glitters are probably stuck all over her face and body. However that's the least of her concern right now, the play will be starting in less than an hour, they have to polish everything.
"Excuse me! Boxes coming through!" She almost stumbled but managed to judge the rushing club member. Looking at everyone working harmoniously somehow made her happy. It feels like she's back home in Thailand where she used to do theater plays with her classmates.
"Lisa-ssi, there you are. Come here, I am going to lose it." Frustration was evident on their advisor's face. Worry flooded her, something must be wrong.
"What's the problem, Mr. Nam?" She asked, concerned.
The teacher was typing fast on his phone, she saw him dialing a number repeatedly. "The main lead is not answering my calls!"
She gasped, what is a Snow White play if there is no Snow White? This is a conflict she never expected. Why is their main actress missing? More importantly, it's Kim Taehyung that she is ditching!
"We're left with less than an hour, sir. How about her understudy Eunji? She should be ready, right?"
The professor washed his face with his palms. Repeatedly. "That's the problem, I talked to her earlier and asked her to throw lines with me, she's buffering like my grandma's WiFi connection, goodness gracious."
"What did prexy say?"
"She's out there looking for substitutes but I don't think it's going to be possible. The lines, the costume sizes, we're all doomed."
Seeing the director on the verge of breaking down just adds to Lisa's worries.
"What's happening director Nam? Lisa?" Taehyung passed by, already clad on his costume.
He's wearing a cream-colored long-sleeved shirt that is topped with a royal blue vest. A belt on his waist and the fake sword to complete his look. He looks magnificent as usual, but that cannot erase the problem.
"We're cancelling the play." The director mumbled.
"What?" Both Lisa and Taehyung said. Of course it does looks hopeless, but why is the director giving up that fast?
"Your partner is not showing up! We have no princess."
"Oh shit. My princess just decided to not show up?" Taehyung sulked.
