"Oh wow!" Chaeyoung exclaimed as she stepped off the ferry.
They reached Koh Samui that is their stop before finally going to Koh Pha-ngan. The plan is to stay for a day and a half before taking a boat to reach the other island.
"It's very beautiful." Jennie commented. She looked around but her knees started wobbling after taking another step. Jisoo held her hand to prevent her from falling?
"You alright, unni?" Lisa was quick to attend the older. Jennie waved her hands to gesture she's fine.
"I am seasick. The ride was a little wavy, pun intended." She giggled, trying to ease the tension but everybody was still worried.
"You shouldn't have come if that's the case." Jimin said.
Taehyung nudged him, "Dude."
The rest of the girls only glanced at Jimin but the tension risen after his statement.
Jennie clicked her tongue, feeling bad because she seem to set everyone in a bad mood so she gave them a smile.
"Hey, everyone, I promise I'm fine. I'll rest a little and everything will get better."
The three girls were really concerned, especially Lisa. She didn't know about her sickness and should've prepared.
Jungkook noticed her uneasiness so he butted in. "The rooms we're staying at is ready, Jennie-ssi can take a rest there."
"I'll go with her." Lisa quickly raised her hands. Her worry obvious with the way her eyebrows knot.
"But Lisa I don't want to spoil the fun for everyone. You should go with them so they at least have a local with them. These idiots will get lost." Jennie said assuring her that she'll be alright.
Lisa was about to object but then Jisoo tapped her shoulders. "I'm a little tired, too. We can take a nap while you guys wander around."
"You sure unni?" Chaeyoung chimed in, also worried.
The oldest nodded then shooed them. They went to the reception area first. The remaining five took their leave. They planned on looking around the place first to familiarize.
"Omg look at those!" Chaeyoung dragged Lisa to the stall.
There are variety of clips, pins, and headbands. She admired the flower clips. "Pick one for me, Lisa, then let's pick for those three uglies."
"Hey!" Jimin protested. Chaeyoung stuck her tongue out. Taehyung looked around the shop, the headbands catching his attention. While Jungkook just stood beside Lisa and Chaeyoung.
"Here." Lisa gave Chaeyoung the pink one. It perfectly matched her peach top and blondé hair. Chaeng squealed in excitement, she then picked the yellow one for Lisa.
"Don't you think yellow is made for you?" She said as she put the clip on Lisa's hair.
Lisa smiled slyly. "You think so?"
Chaeyoung hummed in response then combed her hair a little. "Done."
She looked around the area, hoping to sight the boys. Jimin and Taehyung were missing. Chaeyoung clicked her tongue. "Where's the two?"
"They were just behind us earlier."
"Let me find them first, I'll buy this later." Chaeyoung handed her the clip then went off.
Lisa pouted as Chaeng left quickly. She went back to the clips observing the different designs. She saw a white one and wore it behind her right ear.
Jungkook inched closer towards her then looked at the bund of flower clips, too.
"Wear this." Lisa gave him a red flower clip. Jungkook looked at it for a long time, confused about what he should do with it. She clicked her tongue then put it behind Jungkook's right ear.
"Wow you're prettier than me."
"Bullshit." Was Jungkook's response, but Lisa saw how red blush crept from his neck to his ear. He looked at himself on the mirror then raised his eyebrows.
Lisa watched as Jungkook put the clip on his left ear instead. "Why?"
"According to culture, taken people wear their flower behind their left ear." He mumbled.
"That's on Hawaii." Lisa giggled. The guy cleared his throat then avoided her gaze. He then confidently tilted his head.
"Well, I don't want people hitting on me here. Especially when I have a face like this, it could be inconvenient most of the times."
"Too proud, Mr. President, my people have taste, here, you're not all that." Lisa crossed her arms.
"Ah yeah?" Jungkook mimicked her and crossed his arms too. As if on cue, a group of girls passed by eyeing Jungkook.
They were obviously checking him out and that didn't escape Lisa's eyes. In her mind, she shouldn't be glaring at them right now but hey, it's her crush on the line.
The group entered the shop but they seem to be more interested with the guy rather than the items
"Hi. I'm Art. " Lisa understood the girl that spoke Thai, Jungkook also did because he tried learning a little.
"Hello. I am—"
"Taken." Lisa butted in then smiled st the girls. Jungkook didn't understand whatever she said so he just stayed quiet and observed.
The girls "ooh-ed" then bid their waves before leaving the store. Lisa continued staring at their retreating backs until they disappeared.
"What did you say?" He raised an eyebrow. Lisa looked innocent as she showed him a neutral face.
"I told them you're gay." Lisa whispered.
"Huh? Why?" Jungkook thought the brunette might just be messing with him. He doesn't really plan to entertain the girls, after introducing himself, he will leave.
"Nothing. They deserve better."
"Why?" Jungkook went closer to Lisa, cornering her with a hand on her side, "Don't you think I'm good enough?"
"Too... close." Lisa can't even speak properly with a dangerous distance like this. Jungkook's minty breath fanned her face as he chuckled softly
"Yeah?" Instead of backing away, he inched his face closer to her. The almost non-existent distance made Lisa's eyes cross.
"What the heck are you doing Jeon?"
"What do you think?"
"I think you're... crazy." Lisa looked away, not being able to take the intense gazes from Jungkook.
"I feel the same way. I think I'm really going crazy." Jungkook whispered on her ear. He leaned his forehead on Lisa's neck, she felt his warm breath and the slight tremble from his shoulders.
"You're making me insane."
At first Lisa was afraid that her heart will jump out of her chest, but as Jungkook caged her into a hug, she felt how their hearts were beating the same rhythm.
