AEGEAN HALE
I HONESTLY don't feel comfortable being around the pack. It feels like they are watching whatever action I'm going to take. Their eyes are full of judgment. Whenever those eyes look at me, it pressures the hell out of me and forces me to do something even if I don't want to do it. I may have authority with my group but if you will face me to these people, my power is nothing. It sucks because I don't like being controlled and manipulated and that is what they are doing to us.
We are only an experimentation and a substitute—an option. Having a big territory requires a lot of warriors and as far as I know, the pack's total number of warriors are not enough. The Zetas are too young and still needs proper training and so the alpha-female decided to train ordinary men to fill in their places. We are the pioneers of the program.
Our skills were enhanced both by experimentation and by training. We've also been receiving some special gifts from the mages. When I first met Blake, I know he is already fast. He became faster after months of training and experimentation. Technology is that advanced nowadays and the use of Genetically Modified Organisms became rampant and I can say that it is indeed effect and can be considered as an asset.
In Cnidus' case, he's always been courageous. Enhancements used to him are minimal. Just a few injections of strength serum and extensive physical training, he became stronger than before. What they did to me is not cannot be used as of now. They told me that in the near future, I will fly. That is the reason for the cape in my costume. For now, I've been mastering the use of my shield and other weapons that can be used for combat.
Based on our performance, this experimentation seems to be successful. I am actually expecting that for the next few months, they would be training another batch of warriors. The alphas are really hands on with this matter and they trust us. Although, the pack seems to hate us. That's actually strange.
We are in good terms with the alphas and with Amoux; especially me because I grew up in their custody. The alphas treated me as their own son. My parents died during The Great Bloody War. I was three years old back then when the Gammas found me after the war. Amoux and I are close to each other but since he is being trained to be an alpha and I was being trained for this, we took two different paths.
I am not a werewolf. My parents are both normal beings. They were killed by the members of the Sauterton's pack. Ever since before, there had always been a discrimination between the werewolves and the humans. Until now, that discrimination is still evident. I am actually experiencing it at the moment.
"Hey, bro! We haven't been able to spend time with each other! How the hell are you?" Amoux greeted with a smirk as he initiate a fistbump.
"Well, we are both busy!" I answered as I bump my fist into his.
Alpha Derek just nodded at me as a greeting. I did the same thing and finally sat down. The meeting will begin any minute now. I just hope our presence is really needed here. I can't stand being with these werewolves. If looks could fucking kill, I'll be dead since the very first time they laid eyes on me. Well, that would be years ago.
"Good afternoon, everyone!" the alpha-male greetes when he sat on the chair reserved for him. We all greeted him and didn't dare to speak any word.
"We are all gathered here today because we are facing another disturbing event. The coyote attack that took place this afternoon also happened in other places at the same exact time. There, we draw a conclusion that we may be facing a bigger enemy. This is just the beginning and it is important for us to train harder and to stay vigilant at all times. We don't know yet what may happen next."
