AEGEAN HALE

EVERYTHING happened so quickly. Earlier, Glozelle told me that this trip might help me in overcoming the horror this place did to my life. Well, it didn't. It actually made it even worse. I am so disappointed in myself that I didn't do anything to save my ally from dying. Pyhrra doesn't deserve what happened to her.

We are all in shock as Pyhrra's brother arrange everything for his sister's funeral. He seem to expect it to happen because he responded immediately and already knows what he needs to do even before we told him what happened. He did not even blame us or get mad at us for what happened.

"This is the worst!" Glozelle said with gritted teeth.

I never seen her this mad before. I can feel her rage. I could spot the difference between the anger she had when Zenith casted a spell on me and now that Zenith get Pyhrra killed. Glozelle is raging and I know I could never stop or control her once she explodes.

"She had it coming," Pyhrra's brother said as he entered the room we are all in.

"What do you mean?" Blake asked.

We all focused on him as he sat down the chair. We are currently in the conference room of the inn after Pyhrra's body was procured from the cliff by the authorities.

"I'm Pyhrro, by the way. My sister knew that she is dying today. She's aware about it for so long already. I already know it would happen today that's why I already contacted people who will take her body."

The scene keeps on repeating in my mind over and over again. I've witnessed a lot of people die but this one triggered my trauma. Unlike the others, I've spent time with Pyhrra and she's part of my team. I feel responsible for keeping her safe and I didn't even did everything I could to save her.

"How come she knows already?" Cnidus asked this time.

"I will tell you something about my sister. I hope when you hear this, you will stop blaming yourselves for not being able to save her. Even if you try to, it is what it is. It is meant to take place; believe me, she knows the risk but she still did it."

"Tell us what you know and what transpired this deceitful day," Amoux said with a serious face.

I remained quiet and pissed in what had happened. I let my team mates ask every question they have in mind to obtain information. I will not forget this day and make sure to let the Deviants pay for what they did. Pyhrra may only be a new member of Black Hole but she already contributed a lot to our group. She's been to some of our most dangerous missions and she is a huge help in handling those. We are beyond grateful for having her.

"There's a lot of things that you still don't know about my sister that the pack hidden from you—even to Amoux. The only person that are aware of this matter are the alphas. I'm sure my sister told you that she was recruited by Alpha Denver, right? That's not true."

"What?" I butted in.

"She was hired by the alphas three years ago to be a spy on the Deviants. She was devoted to getting things done that she did everything she could to make sure Aegean and Glozelle will survive. She got everything she needed to know but then she was held captive; she was given a chance to go back but with a new mission. Pyhrra was sent to betray the pack and provide false information—she didn't. When the Deviants found out what she did, she received a death sentence. That is the reason why she wanted to have this vacation with you, she wanted to spend her remaining time with her new found family."

Silence took over the place. It was too much for us to digest. My system could not believe what I just heard. Now I realized why she was too careful on sharing her personal information when I was asking her one time.
