GLOZELLE COLLINS

WE ARE on our way to the headquarters riding the same Nissan Frontier from yesterday. It’s five in the morning and we are already on the road. We all agreed to schedule our training this early and end it at eight in the evening. During that long time, we are sure that we will be can do a lot of things and improve our combat skills.

I yawned and stared outside the window. I didn’t sleep well last night. I dreamed about that scene again and it haunts me to death. I really want to end this and just let them pay for everything they did to me and my family.

“Are you okay, Glozelle?” Cnidus asked.

Aegean is the one driving the car today and Blake is sitting on the shotgun seat. Cnidus is sitting beside me and seems like he noticed that I am not in the mood right now. I maybe that mean and arrogant all the time but he still noticed that I’m not in the mood.

“I just didn’t sleep well last night.”

“Why?”

I looked at him and feel hesitant to tell him about it. I haven’t talked to him that much before so I don’t feel really comfortable talking to him right now.

“Uh, never mind.”

“What is it, Glozelle? Is something bothering you? You can tell me you know!”

“No, it’s really nothing.”

“If it’s nothing you won’t have to look like that.”

“You’re so noisy, Cnidus.”

I looked in front to avoid talking to Cnidus and saw Aegean’s looking at the rear-view mirror. He might have heard that we’ve been talking about something and waiting for me to say what’s been bothering me. Our eyes met and he immediately shifted his gaze and focused on the road.

“Come on, Glozelle, tell me about it.”

I rolled my eyes and sighed. Looks like he won’t stop pestering me unless I decide to tell him about it. I should tell him something but not too much.

“Will you stop pestering me if I tell you about it?”

“Yes.”

“Fine, I had a bad dream last night.”

“Then?”

“That’s it, I already told you about it. Now stop pestering me. That’s the deal.”

“Damn it, you are such a difficult person to handle!”

“Yeah, whatever.”

I looked straight into the road and noticed the rear-view mirror once again. Aegean is smirking. I raised an eyebrow. Why is he smirking?

I just ignored it and just focused on the road. I feel bored with this trip. How long will it take us to get there? Last time we went there, we didn’t take a lot of time in driving. But why does it feel like it takes forever to get there now?

Damn it.

“Now why do you look like you’re annoyed?” Cnidus asked.

I rolled my eyes upon hearing him talking to me again. Here we go again. Why can’t he just shut his mouth?

“I thought we had a deal that you will stop pestering me if I tell you about it?”

“But you didn’t tell me the whole story.”

“It’s not like I am required to tell you about my personal life.”

“Aren’t we friends?”
