AEGEAN HALE

WE DID not became complacent after what happened on our training with the pack. Although what happened is a bit too much, we do not blame them for doing so since we don't know yet what to expect in the future. We don't know what are the capabilities and full capacity of our enemies so we can't settle for less. As long as we can take it, we should keep on surpassing our limits and be better.

"Glozelle, we need you to stay here in the headquarters with Pyhrra today. I want the both of you to work with each other. We're going to have a different kind training today." I commanded, looking directly into her eyes.

I saw how a crease formed in her forehead and how she rolled her eyes after that. She's gonna argue with me. I'm very sure of it.

"Why can't we join you?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Because we're gonna have a different kind of training. You see, Glozelle, we can't call it a different kind if you'll come with us and join us. Besides, there's something you need to do here. Some of the pack members would be here with you today."

"But—"

"No more buts, we'll go now. We'll see the both of you later. Good luck!"

"Damn you, Aegean!"

I chuckled upon witnessing her annoyed face before I turned my back and walked towards the door. Cnidus and Blake are already inside the car as I instructed them to do so.

The reason why I instructed Pyhrra and Glozelle to stay in the headquarters is because I want them to feel comfortable with each other. These past few days, I noticed that they don't get along. Not like Glozelle get along with all of us but something's just really off. And I want them to fix that. We can't fight together publicly if we're divided inside. I'm sure they will learn from each other. They're both strong and brave.

"Do you think when we return later, their relationship will be better?" Cnidus asked.

"Yeah, maybe. Let's just hope so."

"Glozelle is something, you know. She's so hard to be with so this would be challenging to them but, let's see what may happen!" Blake commented with a smirk.

Cnidus is in charge of the steering wheel, Blake is sitting on the shotgun seat, and I'm in the back seat looking and observing around the place. Anything and everything may happen. We're in a supernatural world.

"I'm a bit nervous to what may happen, actually." Blake said.

"Well, we're all nervous about this. Everything's uncertain."

"I just think that we're not yet ready and that our training is not enough. I'm worried we might fail."

"No one's ready for this war," Cnidus butt in, his eyes still focused on the road.

"And that's why as much as we can, we are still having our training and what's important is we continue to fight amidst the uncertainties. That's what matters, Blake."

To be honest, what we're preparing for is quite scary. It's unpredictable and I can't say we were made for this. It's only been months since we started doing this. We did have our trainings before they introduced us to the world and we had several missions already, but I still firmly say that we are inexperienced. That's the truth and even if we continue to train for this upcoming war, I still think that we're not made for this.

"I'm having thoughts and regrets about joining this damn team because honestly, I don't like the way they treat us. The way the pack members look at us makes me feel like no matter how much we try to do good and get the job done, we will never be enough to be treated the same way they treat their own kind. The alphas are treating us good and I'm sorry to say this but I can sense favoritism here, Aegean. I know they're your parents but this is what I see." Cnidus pointed out.
