17th Star: A Long Journey Ahead

TENSION filled the air as we all settle in the headquarters. It's already eight o'clock in the evening but we're still outside. We're about to train with the pack. We've been training for the whole day and I can say we had enough but it's not like we can say that. We must take all the training we can. We're stil not sure how strong and powerful our archenemy is.

"How's the training with those two idiots?" Aegean whispered as we all wait for the training to begin.

"It's fine although Cnidus was really annoying the whole time. I would prefer training with you or Blake for a whole day than be with him for five hours. Although you can learn from him, it's just that... he's so noisy!" I really raised my voice for a bit to let Cnidus hear what I just said.

"But the two of you seems like really close?"

"Are you for real, Aegean? You're talking nonsense!"

He laughed and just continued to mess with me. Okay, so what is he really trying to imply here? It's not like I'm interested in being close to Cnidus. That guy is seriously so annoying and noisy!

Aegean just stopped messing with me when Amoux arrived and stood up in front to formally start the training. I don't usually train in the dark but I think this could help us since we don't know what time of the day will the enemy decides to attack.

"Good evening, everyone. I know it's already late and we all should be taking a rest now but we need this training. It's the time that we shouldn't be settling with the strength we have. We don't know when will they attack and not everyone here can fight in the dark."

Amoux is wearing a serious aura as he talk to all of us. The tension earlier subsided a bit when Amoux came. Seems like their boastful attitude starts to fade when they're facing an person with authority, huh?

"Before we begin, I would like to announce something very important... especially to the Black Hole."

The four of us were shocked with the sudden mention of our group. What is this all about? We all focused and wait on Amoux as he announce something that will surely affect us. I don't know why but I somehow feel nervous about this one.

"As we all know, we should take all the manpower we could get that's why I want to introduce you the newest member of Black Hole!"

What. The. Fuck?

The four of us exchanged glances and seems like even Aegean doesn't have any idea about this sudden change and announcement. They could at least inform him so we won't be this shocked.

"Amoux didn't even bother to tell me about it. He could at least inform me. I'm the leader of this group," Amoux commented with a serious face.

"That's exactly my thought."

I rolled my eyes and just stared at Amoux as we all wait for the new member to show up. We're not liking where this is going. We just hope the new member is someone we could work with. I hate being with other people so this would be harder for me. I am sort of lucky that I'm fine with Aegean already. But... I still haven't figured out how to communicate with the other idiots and now I have to work with another person.

Great. Just great.
