Opening my eyes , I feel the silk sheets wrapped around me. I slowly shut them again before I feel a ball of fur wrap around my leg.

"Kitty!" I say, scooping her up so I can cuddle with her before I have to start my day.

I run my slender ring covered fingers over her white, soft fur.

"What are we going to do today, Kitty?" I say, sighing.

She meows, jumps out of my arms and runs out of my room.

"Thanks for the help!" I say, laughing and watching as she runs.

I get off the bed, making my way towards my bathroom when I accidentally step on an earring.

"Ouch." I say to myself. It was probably one of Lydia's earrings, but it wasn't her fault.

I quickly pull it out of my foot and continue walking. I quickly open the door, and stop to look in front of the mirror. My blue eyes, thankfully, don't have eye bags today. I take my long blond hair out of its messy bun and start to brush it.

I run my fingers through it, making sure there's no knots before I move on to brush my teeth and wash my face. Luckily, I have naturally clear skin and my teeth have always been straight, no braces necessary.

After i'm done, I walk over to my closet, picking out a white blouse that covers my chest, and blue jean shorts. I walk over to my jewelry stand, pulling out 3 golden necklaces and putting them on. I quickly open my dresser drawer to pull out white Nike socks,  grab my phone off the charger, before making my way to Lydia's room.

"Lydia! I stepped in an earring earlier, can you please make sure to pick up your stuff?" I ask entering her room.

I realize she's not in there and let out a "hmph".  I pull my phone out of my jean shorts pocket and call her.

"Hey Lyds, it's me. Call me back soon, okay? Love you." I say hanging up, biting my bottom lip.

I shut her room door as I leave, walking over to where we store our shoes. I slide on a pair of Airforce 1 Hightops before going to the fridge and pulling out an apple.

"Goodbye, Kitty! I'll be back soon." I say grabbing my hand bag before shutting the front door and locking it.

I throw the keys and apple in my bag and start walking to the elevators that belong to our apartment floor. As I'm waiting for the elevator to come up, I start to think about Lydia. I hope she's safe, at least somewhere warm. The elevator button dings, telling me it's here.

I walk in the elevator, pressing the button for the first floor. As something in the corner of the elevator catches my eye, the doors open to the floor below me, letting in another person. I look up, smile, and then look back down. I realize it's a spider, but unfortunately the person next to me realizes before me.

"Oh my God! Ew!" They say as they try to squish it with the top of their shoe.

"No!" I say before standing in front of the little spider just hanging in its cobweb.

"It's a Latrodectus Katipo, it's species is going endangered. Please allow me to take it outside instead of you killing it." I say, scooping down to get the little spider out of its web, closing my hands together so it can't escape.

"It's going to crawl back in. Let me kill it." They say.

"No, it's fine. I'll walk it across the street, I promise." I look up at them, definitely  giving them my best set of puppy dog eyes.
