Chapter 16 - Riot

I turn over to look at Lilith as she lays on the couch. I wasn't able to go to sleep last night, despite her being so close. Her blonde hair frames her face as it presses against the cushion. She had only fallen asleep a couple hours ago, and she kept waking up.

I sit up and reach for my phone, it was almost seven. Lilith would have to be waking up soon to get Ava ready. I silently get up and walk into my bathroom, shutting the door behind me. I brush my teeth then wash my face as I hear Lilith start to move.

I hear her sigh, and I walk out of the bathroom. She's waking up, rubbing her eyes like a child.

"You need to be going soon. It's almost seven." I say and she nods.

I watch as she stretches before getting up and walking out of my door. I wait to hear the elevators open and close, and when they do, I turn back around to walk to my closet.

I pull out a grey sweatshirt, white nike shorts, and pull my Dior Jordans off of the shoe rack. After I get dressed, I put on the Jordans and walk over to my chains. I put one on, then put on my Rolex. After that, I slide a couple rings on my fingers and pull my phone off of the charger.

I slide it into my pocket and walk out of my room, stepping into the elevator. When I get in, I go on my phone until I feel the elevator stop. The doors open on the third floor and Ava and Lilith walk in, their bodyguards following them.

I run my eyes over Liliths body to see she's wearing a white shirt with thin straps that stops just below her belly button. She paired it with grey sweats that fit her nicely and airforce 1 hightops.

I look down at Ava to see her almost matching Lilith, but wearing a shirt that covers her whole stomach and arms. I look down at their hands, which are joined together, and see them both wearing their bracelets. I look up to Liliths neck to see a gold necklace with a heart dangling on it.

"Where's the necklace?" I ask and Lilith turns her head towards me.

"I took it off. It felt weird wearing it." she says and I shake my head.

The elevator door opens, but I quickly press the button to close it again. I press the third floor button, and as we go up Ava pouts. When we reach the floor, Lilith hurries to get out. She quickly goes into her room before walking back out with the necklace in her hands.

She gets in and I press the button to shut the doors, turning to look at her. She struggles to put her necklace on and I take it out of her hands.

She turns around as she picks her hair up, exposing the back of her neck to me. I lock her necklace and she turns back around before smiling at me.

"Thank you." she says and I nod as the doors open.

Ava runs down the hall, Lilith and their guards following her. I watch as they turn, entering the dining hall, and escaping my view. I step out of the elevator and begin walking to the dining hall as I feel someone walking towards me, and I turn my head towards them.

It's Rome and Anastasia, talking as they walk towards the dining hall. Anastasia looks up to see me and she smiles before returning back to talking to Rome.

Anastasia isn't Lilith's sister, but her father was involved in the French Mafia. The only reason she was here was because he killed her mother, the day before they were arriving here. She had nowhere trusted to go, so her father stupidly took her here.

She didn't know him, so she had no connection to him, no motive to get revenge against Lilith or I. I would've killed her yesterday, but I needed her to manipulate Manon into thinking some of his people were still alive.
