Chapter 14 - Riot

I walked out of the room Lilith was in and clenched my jaw. I knew she wasn't doing it for attention. I intentionally banned her from sitting with everyone else, knowing it would be harder for her to eat.

I figured Adriano would feed her, and he is. But I had limited it to whatever I didn't eat, right off of my plate.

I still had to take down her father, no matter the circumstance. I doubt Lilith didn't know, especially since her old boss told me she did.

Apparently Lilith's father sent Deana and her husband to watch over Lilith while she was in the system while they were at war with my father.

It was a better choice than leaving her in France, so he sent her to a capo of the Russian mafia when they were still allies.

What doesn't make sense is why he didn't reach out to her, even after she turned 18. Her being 18 would make her an immediate heir to his throne, and he would've needed to train her beforehand.

Which is what makes me think she knew. There's no way he would've left his only heir to walk the streets of an entirely different country.

And Deana teaching her Russian, when she's not is like a slap in the face to her father. Deana said she reported back to him when Lilith showed up at the cafe for the last time.

He came back for her for a reason, she's going to have to take over soon, i'm assuming. Which is why now that I have her, I have the upper hand. An entire mafia line rests in my hands, and he's not going to get it for cheap.

I continue to walk down the hallway as I hear Avas laughs and screams from behind me. I turn around to see her holding hands with Lilith and watch as she swings her arms.

Lilith looks up to me and then looks back down before she tries to walk past me. I grab her wrist, making her turn around.

"This is your last chance, Lilith. Did you know?" I ask and she signs before shaking her head.

I nod and she walks away. Well just have to see if she's really telling the truth.

I wait for her to put Ava in bed before I command her guards to bring her down to the basement, where she was when she passed her first test.

I sit in a chair and wait for them to bring her down. I hear her screaming as Andre carries her. She's throwing her limbs everywhere, trying to get out of his hold.

I get the rope and tie her hands and legs, gripping her hand when she tries to hit me. She quickly looks back before she stops struggling and lets me bind her arms and legs.

Andre places her on a chair in front of mine and ties another rope around her torso, connecting her to the chair.

She looks up at me before I pull out a pocket knife and bring it close to her thigh. I trace where she previously got cut, the scar was close to disappearing.

I look up at her, and she slowly shakes her head. I drag the knife down from her mid thigh to the top of her knee, only cutting down enough so she would need stitches.

She starts to cry before she starts shaking her legs, making it bleed more.

"I didn't know, I promise I didn't know." she says and I shake my head.

I move onto her other thigh and so the same, and look at her as she screams in pain.

"I didn't know! I promise!" she says as he cries out and puts her head down.

Her hair fans her face as she breathes hard, and the blood pours down her legs. I look over to Andre and he's looking at Lilith.

He looks over to me and I nod before he goes to her and unties her. She falls forward but I catch her. I lay her so her heads on my right hand and her feet dangle off my left.
