I feel my teeth chatter as my back presses against the cold wall, not allowing me to sleep. The constant shaking of my body kept me awake, and I think the girl in the room next to me was asleep. I never got her name, and I wasn't going to pressure her to tell me.

I hear footsteps coming to the door, and I pick my head up when I hear it open. A man carries a plate of food into the room, and tosses it onto the floor next to me before walking back out. I can hear the lock click, and then footsteps walking away.

I look down at the plate to see what looked like eggs and oatmeal. Looking at it made me want to throw up, so I push it away from me. I hear the other doors unlock before locking again, so I assume the other girls are getting fed.

I put my knees to my chest and my head back onto the top of them before closing my eyes.

"Lilith!" I hear the girl shout.

I pick my head up in her direction and stand up, walking over to the hole in the wall before sitting back down.

"Yes?" I ask.

"Are you eating your breakfast?" she asks.

"No, if you want it, it's yours." I say and I see her put her plate on the other side of the hole.

I get back up, walking over to my plate, before bending down and picking it up. I stand back up before going back to the hole and trying my best to make most of the food I was throwing land on her plate.

"Thanks." she says when I'm done.

"Yeah, no problem." I say before sitting down and leaning back on the wall closest to the hole.

I listen to her eat while I shake my legs to keep them warm.

"How long until your hunger strike is over?" she asks.

"I'm not on a strike. And hopefully Riot comes soon, so it won't be long." I reply.

"Do you really think hell be able to find you?" she asks.

"Yes, why wouldnt he?" I say.

"It's not that he wouldn't. It's just hard to find where we are."  she says.

"I believe in him." I say.

"If he comes, do you think he would take the rest of us?" she says.

I look down when she asks this, already knowing the answer. He wouldn't rescue or take in other girls he couldn't profit off of, so the answer was most definitely a no.

"Um, sure." I say.

"Liar. If he wouldn't, then I guess he really lives up to his name." she says.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I ask.

I was already freezing, tired, and had nothing in my stomach. I wasn't trying to be mean, but this wasn't really a situation I could buttercoat.

"It means he's known for being selfish. If he leaves the rest of us to die, that wouldn't be going against his name, would it?" she says,

"Not necessarily." I say.

"Hm. If he comes they'll probably move you." she says.

"Maybe." I say.

There's a moment of silence between the both of us before I hear her push the plate away.

"Good morning chat. Im Lacy, by the way." she says.

"Nice to meet you." I say before walking away from the hole and back to where I was before.

I stay in this position, shaking my limbs to keep them warm for a while. Eventually, I open my eyes and walk over to the sink, turning the water on. The water looked clear and clean. I turn it back off before pacing around the room, trying to keep warm.
