Chapter 26 - Lilith & Ava

I lean my head on my hand as I watch the TV, not paying attention to Bunny anymore. She was talking to Riot now, but in Russian. We were almost there, and I could tell it was getting dark by looking out of the airplane's windows. I pull the headphones off my head and look over to Bunny and Riot.

Bunny looks at me smiling as she turns away from Riot.

"Are you excited?" she asks and I nod.

"Yes, I am. Are we doing anything when we get there?" I ask.

"Maybe not today, it's already dark." Bunny says and I nod.

"Here, put on your jacket." she says and I get off of my seat to stand in front of her.

She put on my jacket before zipping it up and helping me get back into my seat. I watch her as she puts on her own jacket. I look out of the window as I see us nearing land and I watch as the airplane lands.

One of the flight attendants comes and opens the door, and Riot's the first to stand up. I grab my stuffed animal and tuck him under my arm, knowing we're about to leave. Riot takes Bunny's hand and she takes mine, before leading us out of the plane. We walk down the stairs and I shiver as I feel the cold.

When we reach the bottom, Bunny picks me up, and I wrap my arms around her shoulders. She rubs my back, and I pick my head up to see snow on the other side of the street. Riot walks us over to a car parked by the plane, and Bunny helps me get into the backseat before buckling me up.

I watch her as she closes the door and gets into the passenger seat. I look back out of the window as Riot drives, and watch as the snow starts to fall from the sky. I watch the snowflakes until the car stops at a gate.

The gate slowly opens and Riot drives through it before pulling up to a mansion. It wasn't as big as the one we had back home, but it was still pretty big.

I hear Bunny unbuckle her seatbelt before she gets out of the car and comes to get me. She unbuckles my seatbelt before helping me get out of the car and taking my hand. Maids come out of the house and go to the trunk of the car, pulling our luggage out.

I look back at them as Bunny starts walking into the house, staring at their faces. They looked tired and worn out. I turn back around when we have to walk up the steps, and hold onto the railing for support.

When we get to the top, Riot opens the door and we all walk in. The ceilings were high, and it looked very expensive.

"It looks nice. Do you like it Ava?" Bunny asks.

"Yes, I do. But are there toys here?" I ask and Bunny looks to Riot.

"No. You're too old for toys now." Riot says and Bunny looks back at me.

She gives me a sympathetic smile before tucking her hair behind her ear. The maids come in, carrying our luggage in their arms.

"Please follow me to your rooms." one of them says.

"Im going to put Ava to bed, i'll see you later." Bunny says to Riot before kissing him.

Gross. We go down a different hallway as Riot before we get to a room with two doors. The maid opens it and reveals a boring looking room, just black and grey everywhere. She places the luggage down before excusing herself, shutting the door behind her.

"Come on, bath or shower?" Bunny asks.

"Um, bath." I say and she nods.

She walks into the bathroom and I hear the water turn on before she comes back out.

"Do you want to undress yourself?" she asks.

She normally didn't ask me this. Maybe I was getting too old for her to baby me now. I was turning 7, after all.
