Chapter 10 - Lilith

When we get back home, I help Ava out of the car and we begin walking into the house. I hold her tiny little hand in my right, and Riots big hand in my left. Vincent stands by the door and follows us in after bowing his head to Riot.

"Vince, take Ava to the elevators really quick." Riot says and Vincent takes Avas hand, leading her away.

"Remember what I said about Rome. I have to go do some things, but i'll see you later at dinner, yes?" he said and I giggle before nodding.

He brings his hand to my throat before kissing me and walking over to the elevators.

I call out for Ava and she comes running, taking off towards the back door. When we get outside, we go to the tree to look up at the clouds. I look back at Vincent as he looks at Ava, knowing we're going to be here for a while.

It was about time for her to take a nap, and she would be falling asleep soon. We lay down on the grass, and Ava instantly lays her head on my lap.

I play with her hair until I feel her steady breaths and then I bring my hands to cushion my face.

I stay looking at the clouds for about two hours before I feel Ava start to stretch out. Looking down, I see her rubbing her eyes and yawning.

She looks up at me and smiles before getting up and running around the field. She's chasing around a butterfly when Vincent walks up to me.

"Be careful, Bunny. This world has a way of destroying things, especially good things." he said.

I smiled and nodded, not really understanding what he meant. I look for Ava too see she's on the border of the forest and the field.

"Ava, come back! You're too far!" I shout and she starts to run back to me.

"Can we go watch movies inside?" Ava asks and I nod before grabbing her hand and taking her inside.

Vincent follows us to the theatre room and sits in the back when we sit in the front.

"What do you want to watch?" I ask and she grabs the remote from me and puts it on herself.

"Ava, be nice." I say and she gives me back the remote after playing 'The Princess and The Frog'.

Ava crawls into my lap and I run my hands through her hair. She stays like this the entire movie, and the next. Eventually Riot enters the room and comes to sit by me.

He wraps his arm around my shoulders before pulling out his phone and going on it. I continue to look at the movie, watching as it ended.

"Come on, dinners being served." Riot says as he grabs my hand and I grab Avas with my other.

Vincent follows us out and we walk to the dining hall, sitting in our seats. I serve Ava first, then myself. Riot eats one of my carrots, and I turn back around to talk to Ava.

I feel Riot place his hand on my thigh and I smile at him before eating.

Ava and I finish eating and I pick up our plates to take to Adriano. Walking out of the dining hall and down the hall, Ava runs down the hall and knocks on the kitchen door.

I trade off our plates for gelato and give Adrian a 'thank you' before Ava and I make our way to the elevator.

When we get to our floor, I bathe Ava and make sure she brushes her teeth before tucking her into bed. She was already tired so I didn't have to play a movie. It was around 830 now, so she should be asleep soon.

I tuck the blanket into the sides before I look up to see her already sleeping. I walk out of her room and walk into mine before I shower and finish my night routine. I pull out my phone from the shorts I was wearing and see Riot text me.
