chapter 32: Memories

The next few days

Blake finds her sister lost in thought

Blake: Is everything ok, Atalante?

Atalante: (sighs) yea. everything is not ok, Blake.

Blake: can you tell me what is wrong, Atalante?

She notices her eyes gotten watery as she remembers her time at an Imperial swords academy

Atalante: I didn't tell you what happened at the swords academy, did I?

Blake: you've always had a picture of yourself, Josh and another friend of yours, Who is she?

She hands Atalante a photo of herself, a young Josh and a girl with dark red hair

Atalante: that's Medina. She and Josh were close friends, best friends.

Blake: how did they become close?

Atalante begins her story

Flashback

2 years before Garreg Mach Academy

Atalante: (voice-over)Josh had a mentor after the great Tullamarine war.

A young man dressed in swords academy uniform and a girl in purple armour watching him doing so well

Atalante: (voice-over) Her name was Sheyta. And she was known as the quiet swordswoman

Young Josh: i did it, mentor Sheyta

Sheyta: most Impressive, Josh.

After training

Josh finds a girl being bullied

Bully: you haven't got any chance, Medina!

Josh: (to the bully) alright stop now!

Bully: why don't you make me.

Sheyta: either you stop or face me.

The Bully saw Sheyta and ran off

Josh: you ok?

Medina: yea, Thanks.

Josh introduces himself to her

Sheyta: looks like you've got yourself a friend.

Josh: if she bullies you again why don't you find us.

Medina: Will do. Thanks.

Atalante: (voice-over) A year had passed. Josh was on top of the elite and he didn't like nobles being obnoxious.

A year later

Atalante: (voice-over) Josh didn't had a trainee yet but when he heard that there was trouble. He knew that he had to step in but ended up in trouble

Josh: It's their fault for being jerks!

Swords academy instructor: I know that. But you didn't had to take it into your own hands

Josh: I thought that the rules said "respect the trainees and commoners" and "set a good example" which they didn't.

Instructor: you're right. they didn't follow the rules.

Josh went to the courtyard until his friends caught up with him

Atalante: wait up, Josh!

Medina: we've heard that you're being transferred to another academy, Is that true?

Josh: (sighs) it is true.

Atalante: Where?

Josh: a place called Garreg Mach Academy.

Then Medina had an idea

Medina: before you go, Josh. Can we have a picture of the three of us?

Josh: that's a good idea.

The 3 had their picture taken before Josh left.

Flashback ends

Atalante: and I've never seen him since.

Blake was quiet when Atalante finished her story
