chapter 4: class and a burden

early the next morning in team JACE's dorm, Josh was the first one to wake up. he went for a jog around the courtyard not realising that Edelgard was awake just as he returned from his run

Edelgard: morning Josh

Josh: morning, can you wake Ashe and Constance while i prepare breakfast?

Edelgard: sure

As Edelgard goes to wake Ashe and Constance, Josh goes to the kitchen in their dorm making breakfast

Ashe: Something smells good

As he comes into the kitchen and sees bacon and eggs for the team. After breakfast the boys got changed while the girls tidy up

Josh: (to Edelgard and Constance) are you two going to get change? (Josh is in his new school uniform)

Edelgard: yea

as Edelgard and Constance left the kitchen Ashe joins Josh in the kitchen going over their week planner then the girls came back into the kitchen.

Constance: so what is up first as class?

Edelgard: I think it's grimm studies with someone called professor Port

Josh: (to the rest of his team) welp better make a good impression and get to class early

the team leaves their dorm and headed towards class

Port: i see that team JACE arrived early today, ha-ha

Josh: that's right professor i thought that we better have a good start to the year

an hour had past

Ashe: i wonder where teams RWBY and JNPR are?

Constance: who knows.

just then teams RWBY and JNPR arrived and crashed on top of each other

Ruby: sorry professor for being late.

Port: it's fine but make sure you be here at the same time as team JACE

Ashe: (whispers to Constance) seeing that was painful to watch.

Constance: (whispers back) yea.

Josh: (whispers to the pair) Class is about to start, guys.

class had soon began while professor port was teling the class about his youth, Ashe noticed that Weiss was about to explode due to Ruby's tomfolley

Port: (to the class) now who here has the skill?

Weiss: (raises her hand) i do. Sir

Port welcomes Weiss down to the front and she faces her opponent while her team chear her on

Ashe: I'm worried about Weiss, Josh

Josh: probably because she hasn't got use to the change of things yet

Ashe turns his attention towards the fight and Wiess manages to defeat the boarlike grimm after class she stormed off

Ruby: Weiss! what's going on?

Weiss: listen here Ruby. I was the one who should have been team leader

Ruby: where is this coming from? what happened to teamwork?

Weiss: you acted like a child and you don't have the right to be team leader that should have been me. not you

Josh and Ashe were not to far

Josh: (to Ashe) why don't you go after Weiss, I'll have a chat with Ruby

Ashe: ok

the two boys split up Ashe goes after Weiss

Josh: (to Ruby) well that didn't go to plan

Ruby: is she right?

Josh: don't worry it's only been one day

meanwhile

Ashe: are you alright, Weiss?

She jumps as Ashe appears

Weiss: (looking down) not really, even after professor port told me about having things my way

Ashe: he's right of cause

Weiss: (confused) really?

Ashe: yeah

with Josh and Ruby

Josh: before i became team leader, Edelgard was house leader back at our last academy

Ruby: House leader?

Josh: of cause. Because she is a princess back then and still is now. She has gotten used to being a teammember of JACE. when our head professor annouced that I was team leader we were both confused and surprised.

Ruby: Edelgard's a Princess?

Josh: yes she is, and i take it that you didn't realised

Ruby: wow, so the night that i met you and your team she didn't say anything about her being Royalty. Why's that?

Josh explains to Ruby the reason about edelgard being a princess she asked them to kept it secret

back with Ashe and Weiss

Weiss: If Edelgard was house leader shouldn't she be team leader?

Ashe: she accept not being Team leader simply beacuse they are the best of friends

Weiss: oh, thanks for chatting with me, Ashe and telling me about your team

Ashe: no worries but i think that you need to make it up to Ruby and prove to her that you can be the best teammate and try to be friends with her

Weiss agrees

Weiss and Ruby made up and became friends
